I'll make this post constructive....
Why can't all games just do what Blizzard did with Diablo 3? Give people whatever name they want. You can let the player know his name ends with .12345 or whatever (numbers are obviously hidden), and that's how other players can email him/her.
OR
Allow other players to add them to a friends list and just type in another name/email attached to their account and linked through PS4.
I still think adding hidden numbers to the end of a name is a good idea for future releases. For instance my characters name would be "Dexter.24657" or whatever...and other players would only see Dexter until they went to email/message. Then maybe it would list more filters like location, maybe first 3 letters of email, maybe players initials, or other ways to distinguish which player it is without giving away too much info
