Any chance we will be able to download before launch on PS4?

If not, why not? It's not like we can play before the server is up anyway.

I pre-ordered through the playstation store...kind of wishing I had just waited and picked it up at my local best buy or whatever.

Since you've previously mentioned you work for Xbox customer service, you're starting to sound like an astroturfer. As for the OP, any preloads on PSN usually start on the Friday before launch (Tuesday).

It is a weird trade off.

PSN usually lets you buy stuff earlier, but waits on the DLs.

Takes forever for Xbox store to list stuff (sometimes Sony has it for sale a full month earlier), but you can DL immediately.

The Friday before puts us at the 5th. No idea why transfers have to wait till the 8th.

It's weird that transfers are on the 8th, transfers being people that were early adopters of the game. you'd have thought it was those people that would have had maybe early access. meh...

The game goes live on the 9th and most people aren't going to be able to play right on launch time as they have to download 60Gb of ESO goodness.

I personally blame ps as they likely couldn't handle digital code redemption prior to when they had the item for download. By the way I have both consoles just stating my thoughts since one system has DL already and the other won't until the weekend or start of next week.

I am not sure who to blame for either console not getting the codes until the 8th. For many, they will not be playing on the Launch day due to internet caps/speed etc. Which is not what we were told when we paid for the transfer etc. I know it is like we are beating a dead horse here, but it would be nice if ZOS would give us an explanation, instead of the "due to console restrictions". The fact that people have been downloading the Xbox One version for a few weeks now, pretty much tells you that it is possible.

I have received codes for games through winning a contest or other ways before a game comes out, so I know codes can be created and allow people to download...hell we got codes to download the beta on console.

I am just holding out hope that we get our codes a little earlier or at least early in the day. My track record for receiving notifications from ZOS is usually late in the evening, so for me it is not looking good, my wife however gets them very early in the day.

Yup hawk and I think that's my gripe. I had an early beta code, it worked and I played. Happy days!

Surely, this far forward they could have made it work.

I guess I could be looking at it differently, at least I've got a transfer to console, plenty missed the deadline.

It says on the PS store that there is a pre download option for ESO so I'm assuming it just hasn't started yet.

I am pretty sure pre-loading for the digital copy of ESO bought off the PS store start on June 5th
