These are two very simple suggestions that would fix the terrible Random Number Generated loot system currently in the game.
Firstly. Since a lot of endgame items from Undaunted Pledges, Veteran Dungeons or Veteran Dragonstar Arena have the possibility of dropping with every single possibly trait it should be possible to change the trait to something of your choosing. Would be quite simple to implement as well, basically it could be a skill you learn at rank 50 of any given crafting profession. This would not only give you a reason to level a crafting skill to rank 50, but would also help people with terrible luck turn their terrible trait mash-ups into something worthwhile.
Two good examples of horrible trait mash-ups are: Hat of Valkyn Skoria with the Sturdy trait (I personally own such a fine piece myself) or Master's Inferno Staff with the Charged trait (I own this one too..).
I know that part of the reason why the RNG loot system is in place is to add artificial content, if you got the exact piece of gear you wanted on your first try of a dungeon, why go back? Thing is though, it is already bleeding tough for some folk to get a Helm of Whatever and then to finally get it, but with a trait you find undesirable, really sucks. I don't personally think that a lot of the game's worth comes from grinding out the same piece of gear until finally the moon and stars align and you recieve the combination you have sought after for months. Further, there are a lot of sets in the game with terrible traits on them, for example the tanking favourite Footman's Fortune has five armour pieces and a shield with the Exploration trait and then two with the Divines...
TLDR: A re-traiting system would alleviate a lot of frustrations from having terrible luck with traits.
Secondly. There should be a system in place where you could trade your Bind-on-Pickup loot from group Dungeons / Trials or Dragonstar Arena with the group you completed it with. Again, this has to do with horrible luck. I must have done every single dungeon in the game a hundred times by now, but I still don't have all the pieces of certain Bind-on-Pickup gear that I desire. As an example, I could get the Shoes of the Worm Cult and my friend would get Saviour's Boots, now in this scenario I don't want my shoes and my friend doesn't want his boots, but we desire eachother's loot. As it stands it would be impossible for us to trade the two things, but why should this be the case? I am not proposing that all Bind-on-Pickup gear should be tradeable, because this would lead to people having full sets of gear from places like Sanctum Ophidia without having truly earned the right to bear them, but I am however saying that it is ridiculous that it is not already possible to trade your Bind-on-Pickup loot with your group. This suggestion isn't only just because I hate it when other people decon the loot I wanted, because they didn't need it, but more so because there is a current problem where a lot of the Bind-on-Equip gear from Cyrodiil is more easily obtainable and on par if not better than most of the extremely difficult to get Bind-on-Pickup PvE gear.
TLDR: Having the ability to trade your Dungeon/Trial/DSA Bind-on-Pickup loot with your group would help PvE players assembling their sets, rather than encouraging them to spend gold on PvP gear, as is currently the case since PvE gear is hard to come by.
