If it's not easy for you to read you either need glasses or to adjust your monitor colours.

Just know that most folks turn their monitors up way too bright and the fact that some people think the background is white when it's grey, proves they have their brightness or contrasts out of whack. And this thread was done a week ago when someone gave an answer, which is clearly marked at the top.

Maybe you didn't catch the "professional graphic designer" part.
My monitor's brightness is not the issue (lol?). That's just a terrible choice of color to be using on the forum background for readability.
It's not unreadable, but it causes unnecessary eye strain. Do what you want, but you can stop pretending that the problem is everybody else's eyes / monitors / etc.
