so far they have made 2 gameplay teasers in the last 2 weeks for things that have been out since 1.6 yet there still making gameplay trailers why do we need this the one im referencing now is esotu with friends

It's all about the marketing, you and I may have been around and get nothing new from the new vids , but they are still trying to get new people, I am sure it does not take away from other projects, since they are putting these out before console launch, other wise they would have had to wait until after console release like everything else..:)

You are not the target audience for these gameplay vids, so of course you feel they are a waste of time.

We are playing the PC game. This marketing campaign is not for us. The number of players is catastrophically low, and the game is dead if console launch does not end up being at least moderately successful. I don't think they are wasting their time trying to market it. Whether I think it will work is another matter, but they are right in trying.

The documentary videos are not for us, so I stopped reading the poll option at "no" and just answered "no".

No, I do not think they are wasting their time. The videos, for the most part, introduce the game to people who have not played since release. They are not cool and don't tell me anything I do not know, but they do introduce the game very well.

I would, however, like them to actually develop and sell this game they are talking about.

I personally would love to see some of the videos but every time I try to use the website I'm redirected to the age verification screen. Every single link takes me to that screen and afterwards back to the home page. I'm constantly amazing at the amazing amounts of silly bugs and mistakes this company keeps making.

Yes, I'm sure that someone is going to tell me to change cookie settings and all that fun blather, but no, I'd really rather not have to change my default browser setup just to view a website. Fix your crap ZOS.

i dont mind them advetising but they are SOOO _________ING HORRIBLE. from the gagworthy voice over, to the words themselves. its just sooo bad, i struggle to properly describe this without using curse words. its designed for 5 year olds with very low IQ and it just makes me sick. its even misleading. oh wait its for console peasants nvm as u were =P

thats me picking a random part. its just awfully written. for starters this aint eve online, yeah all mmo's have emergent gameplay but its barely the key thing to this game, its just accidentally there. furthermore the wording, using the word experiences twice in one sentence so dodgily, u can just tell they through whatever crap they could together asap. i could go on but no point

I'm not sure what part of the game isn't scripted, to be honest. Yes, it's MMO but we all ride the same train cars down the rails together.

Were you watching the video at the time they said that? If you were watching the video, you either know what they were talking about and have chosen not to acknowledge it, or it did not register with you at all.

It would not be much of a social video if it did not touch on role playing. Hopefully, the role players that watch the video will notice that they start by bringing up role playing instead of grouping for dungeons. They spend most of the time talking about alliance war, dungeons, anchors, and guilds because that is what most players are interested in, but I thought it was a nice touch to start off with role playing.
