Downloading more than 2GB of patches?

Hey guys,
I haven't played in a while, maybe the last time I played was on 2.0.2.
Today I try to update the game and the launcher would do this:
Downloading update: 100 MB...Applying update...
Downloading update: 500 MB...Applying update...
Now I'm downloading a 1000MB update and its been 20 minutes already and at 52%. At this rate, I would be downloading 30GBs of patches.
Whats going on? Why do I download patches in increments?

akaBruce✭So, I finished updating and I only had to download around 4GB of updates so its all good.0
