Load screen boss. Most annoying boss ever, impending uncertainty, great relief when over, not hard to survive. Good battle.

Hm... my memory is super fuzzy because I did this only once 10 months back, but the final boss of the Vault of Madness is my favorite. The entrance was spectacular, though I don't remember the fight.

As for bosses within my memory, the giant dwemer spider at the end of Veteran Darkshade Cavern. Pure mechanics boss. The kind you see in the early decades of gaming. It was very refreshing to be in such a straight forward battle of observation and patience, rather than the usual brawl or dps race.

Captain Blackheart is memorable for me too, as he formed a crucial juncture in the development of my playstyle. It was in doing Blackheart Haven that I learned: Healers are rare (so I picked up a restoration staff) and everyone needs to fulfill every role, no one can just deal damage or just tank or just heal. We all need to be able to take hits, recover from them, and return the damage. Blackheart's sword, Skullmaker, is also my first unique weapon drop and I model all of my present swords after it. :3

    The Serpent with HM enabled.

I'm typically responsible for lamias, and the sheer number of mechanics and random factors makes the entire encounter into something that is all about your ability to read and react because you can't simply overwhelm it with DPS or overcome it with positioning patterns. You have to be on your toes and pay attention and react to things that are always a bit different.

I can tell you my most frustrating bosses.

-Any boss that has that huge templar healing ability. (Heals all the damage I did in just a second! NO! Already used all my stamina to do all that damage!)
-Matron's Clutch, because making that boss appear is frustrating. Stupid hidden dregh! (Or at least it was hard long ago. Not sure now.)
-Captain Bone's ship because it can be difficult to solo. Also, it was bugged for the longest time, and still sometimes doesn't spawn everything, or they get stuck not moving or something.

Not sure of my favorite. I guess it'd be one of the group dungeon bosses, just for different than normal gameplay, for the most part. The spider web battle stands out in my mind, mostly for the atmosphere and less for the gameplay. Wish I had time to slow down and find out the reason why I had to fight them, or their backstories, or something. But I never had the chance to do so, even before pledges were introduced. Also thought that'd be rude to the group.

Mantikora, the best dps meter in the game hands down, its basicly a straight dps race, and i like it.

Not really for difficulty (although it isnt easy), but as a tank, I really love fighting the Warrior the most.

The main reason is that on high graphics the fireworks display of 11 players blazing he back of him while you stand on the pedestal looking own on the him and your team is a truely pretty display. Meteors, Skoria Procs, Crushing shock, lightning and fire attacks, etc etc etc all at once - it is a frikken awesome sight. The mechanics of the fight are also awesome - very detailed and as healer/dps you feel like if you take your eyes off the boss for a second you will miss a shield/cleave/carve and be toast, so its fun from that aspect too. Starfall - lets not even go there - great fight!

As far as favourite due to difficulty, well i have not gotten past the Manticore, and it is a serious challenge for me at least so i really enjoy it for that.

I also used to love Praxin prior to 1.6 - man he was tough! I miss him.

Hiath is also a frikken cool fight and just insane on Vet mode as a tank.

If i thought about it more i could probably find a whole bunch more that i love, but the Warrior is tops for pure spectacle of the fight.

While I probably have a favorite boss fight, I honestly cannot think of what it is. I enjoy our combat mechanics but the design of the boss fights demonstrates a lack of imagination and are fairly weak. If the group has half decent dps most things are a face roll.

I don't know if I have a favourite, but I do like both the Mad Architect and the Flesh Atonach in Vaults of Madness. It's my favourite normal dungeon and I'm looking forward to the vet version of it.

In Vet dungeons, the Spawn of Mephala and the Maw of the Infernal are fun fights. I'm getting to like most of the boss fights as I get used to them.

Momma Druegh now shows up without having to kill the adds first. But, that just means you have adds to deal with. With the right rotation, its fun.

Yes, Captain Bones is one of the bosses that is difficult to solo on level. There is one or two of them in each zone.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I hate to be so obvious and typical: but the final showdown with Molag Bal.

Even though it wasn't especially difficult: it was easily one of the most bad ass boss fight I've ever experienced on an MMORPG.

My hat is off to which ever developer designed that encounter.

I wish we had a way to level items up with us (either via crafting or via a one-shot crown store item); not for the set bits, or imbalance, but because of things like this.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
