This is a minor thing, but ZOS please do something about horses' rear legs

Every horse mount in the game is quite severely sickle-hocked, which is often a painful problem for horses and limits their use as riding mounts. Please get someone to look at photos of horses with good conformation and adjust the rear legs of eso mounts accordingly. Yes it is only a small graphics thing, but it is annoying, and it is a common mistake made by rookies when drawing/painting/animating horses. When in a standing position, the rear fetlock should be in a vertical line down from the hock, not further forward than the hock.

That would be nice, I've been calling them Chicken Legs since Beta lol
Just kind of figured Devs were all city types and had never seen an actual horse.

Epona has a sharp eye. I was curious enough about this to google it. Found this article that has a really nice graphic of various horse leg angles and skeletal structure. I learned something new! I was also surprised to read that the hind legs only support 40% of a horse's weight. I would have assumed that back legs supported at least 50% if not more. This must mean it's easier for a horse to kick up its heels than to rear up into the classic Black Beauty kind of pose.

Modeling realistic horses is probably more difficult than humanoids. I'm grateful for the small touch of dismounting when I ride up and touch a door. I'm glad my horse has no aversion to invisibility potions. ;)

I'm not so sure, I would think humans are much harder to realistically model due to this effect:

I was thinking that the only exposure to any of the species that are part of the Equine family might have been from playing Buckaroo

I'm still wondering if the designer had a photo of a horse in front of them or of they were modelling entirely from memory. THIS is what needs revision, not Redguard armors.

They might have just Googled "Horse" and used the first image available...

Many of the animals are less than perfect renderings. Have you looked at the abominations that wolves and skeevers have become? They look like a B-movie monster from a toxic waste dump. Compare them to how they look in Skyrim and you wonder what miracle occurred during the intervening time. Of course they did manage to get the monarch butterfly wings on right side up which is an improvement from the poor pitiful mutations fluttering around in Skyrim.

Other MMOs have been managing to model horse legs and horse motion for 15 years. This is an example of one of those inexplicable borks that we never get a reasonable explanation for.

While they are at that, maybe they can work on other more pressing bugs too... Just a thought.

How about we deal with the issues of your mount having to slow down to walk speed nearly every time it has to traverse non-flat terrain.

Same thing happens on foot. I rarely take the time to mount up on my warden. (I prefer using bull netch/bird of prey for speed as I'm as fast as a horse) while sprinting...until I hit uneven terrain. I experience the same issue as mounts.
