    I like that one has to choose the abilities carefully before storming into battle. Besides that more ability slots will most likely need a lot of additional balancing to work properly; which is highly important for the competitive playing styles.

    Whether i want more slots or not, there is litle meaningful choice in the abilities you pick, you just pick the best ones and leave others unattended for the rest of characters life... Nasically observing players in Tamriel, i see that same class pretty much always have the same abilities in use. I find this bit monotonous.

    Sometimes I think, "just one more, only one", especially when I want to train new skills and get it done asap, but in general I think 5 are ok when you know what you're doing.
    And I agree with @Haqikah that it would need additional balancing to work properly.

    I fully agree. I find having 12 slots sufficient and it's amazing to watch what a skilled player can do with those 12 skills.

    Make extra slots available in the crown store and charge $100 each for them and I will still buy them lol.

    Seriously though, they will never do this. If they did I would want at least 2 for those abilities that are just toggles. Yes, having only 5 available slots forces you to be very selective and creative with what abilities you choose, but having more would provide us with so much more creativity. Extra slots should be something you earn in game by achieving certain things. Reach Vet level 1, get an extra slot. Reach Vet 14, get another. Alliance war rank 10, get one etc etc...

    Doing this would bring life to the game for me again.

    Why should I have to both gimp myself and take the time to build out my slots based on anticipated need? Then I have to constantly remember which ability I added to which slot. Then I click the wrong button and damn, "I meant that to be lava whip not reflective plate!" I find it annoying. Adding slots costs ZOS next to nothing in terms of development, and gives the players so much more options. I would like to be able to access more of my skills while in combat. I personally find it ridiculous that you can't.

    Personally I could do without all of the abilities completely. I would much prefer a Skyrim style of combat, but that will never happen so I adjust. I just hate that I can't use more of the abilities I worked so hard to get in the first place.

    I know what you mean, and I think it's true in most cases. When I hear certain sounds coming from spells/skills nearby, I can tell which class it is, it's mostly the same stuff they're using, each^^

    But that's not always the case, f.e. my 2 oldest Sorcerer characters started using the "best" skills only recently, after being VR14 for ages already (both). The skills I was using before were ok, until I found out that there are way better ones, so I gave them a try.
    Now my new Sorcerer (VR2 now) is using these "better" skills as soon as they're available which turns out to be much more effective and also much more fun rolling a Sorc.

    I think for new players it would be nice to have more slots since they don't know yet which combinations work best, but for the advanced players who know what they're doing, 5 slots should be enough to go with.

    To this i agree. As a player who almost always uses same weapons for both slots, i find only unecessary burden to hit toggle button to get access to that other 5 abilities.

    I love weapon swap in general, but maybe, just maybe weapons should have separate slots for their abilities and then we should have that 7 slot bar which never changes to put all other abilities we want to use.

    Main reason why i am not happy with 5 slots is, that it feels too simple, it forces me to always use same abilties as if others never even existed and the most annoying thing is that it is still unreliable, swap just not working all the time.

    Edit: Actually if weapons had their 5 slots for both sets... No. 3 slots for weapon abilities per weapon slot plus 5 slot bar for other abilities that does not change with weapon swap.

    @c.p.garrett1993_ESO But all 10 can't be used with a single weapon configuration; you must switch weapons.

    So are you proposing 10 per weapon swap, 10 that can be used at any time, or 10 that still maintain the same weapon lockout as is now, just without swapping to see the skills. I'm confused.

    I sit there everyday and wish I could get just one more skill on my bar. Thing is; they could double the slots and I would still find one more ability I wish I could fit.

    I like having to make the tough choices and being creative better.

    I actually enjoy how ESO limits the readily available abilities, makes you think, pick and choose, sometimes rework your selection between fights to prepare for something...

    It was a welcome change after playing the usual "juggle dozends of skill buttons" MMOs...

    And I hope they never ever change the setup - five skills, one ultimate, one quickslot, that's just right for me!

    ESO weapon swap isn't reliable, sometimes not even working due to bad performance. This often forces me to slot a crucial life/death skills on both bars. But I dont expect people that only plays as dps in groups to understand. It's not like the group or raid is going to wipe, because their weapon swap is sluggish or fails for a few seconds lol.

    Second reason is all the toggles or skills(like Evil Hunter)with a passive that goes away if you weapon swap, so you need them on both bars.

    With a crucial skill on both bars and a toggle, than I really dont have a lot of skill slots left. That's why I want 2 more.

    Because some abilities are toggles, or have passive effects while slotted, adding any more slots would require a complete rebalance of skills and classes.

    I mean, if we had 10 slots + ultimate, then a DK could gain +24% health recovery just by slotting every Draconic Power skill, and still have enough slots left over to make sure there's a skill handy for whatever he needs that those skills don't cover.

    Likewise, a NB could gain +18% health by slotting all of the Shadow abilities, while still being able to slot whatever other 5 skills he wanted to use. Heck, maybe slot all 5 non-ultimate Siphoning abilities and gain +15% to your healing done as well.

    I want all of the toggles and abilities with special visual effects so I can go charging into battle with balls of light, multicolored auras, rocks, lightning, and any other shiny skill I can pick up swirling all around me in a fantastic light and particle show.

    I try to do that now but I'm hampered by needing to keep at least one useful ability on my skill bar to kill things with.

    That would make the toggles OP, though. If people want to be able to switch bars on abilities, they should be changed to timed abilities.
