Flaky connection and lag

If I'm not getting the incorrect "spamming the server", annoying "connection lost" or the mysterious <<1>> error, I get lag.

One year one congrats ZOS, this game must be good as the connection is shi.te.

Ya, I understand your problem because I too is affected.

One thing I noticed is when I KNOW I've been lagged to death and it's pretty much been too long where you'd disconnect in other games... This game... Keeps you connected and not being able to do anything. This only happens when your connection is still good, but the game connection went bad on you. So its like your technically dc'ed, but the game wont boot you out. (When you lag in a game.. best solution is to load google, it helps refreshes the game, if google doesnt load, its your internet that is the issue).

Also, when this happened to me, I logged out, and I was in the loading screen from the logout to character select for like 30 minutes before I was like *shakes head*, enough is enough and closed the game manually.

This game, has issues when it lags you out but your internet is still good, it has issues dcing you, kicking you out of the game.
Its like I can either run around and cant do anything, OR you'd get this crash out of nowhere for no reason at all...

    Its like,
Player A is lagged out by the game due to the game not pinging him properly or something, his connection is strong.
Player B has fine connection, both from the game and from his own internet provider.
    Game acknowledges someone is lagging.
    Game kicks/disconnects/crashes Player B
Player A is still lagging and cannot do anything and its been too long his computer cant recover (maybe it can), he decides to log out (oh this solves every TESO bug, banker not showing? Relog. Objects like woodworking station not showing? Relog).
Player A is stuck in loading screen. Player A decides that after 20 minutes of nothing loading he closes the game, and quits for the day due to game not working properly.
Player B 50/50 chance of not playing the game again for the day because he's mad his game crashed outta nowhere.

Conclusions? Bad connectivity from the game leads to people quitting. Maybe just for a day, maybe they try a different game and not come back.

yeah, sorry to say, but this has been a problem since PC beta and they seem unable or unwilling to fix it.

Latley, they have said several times that "it is your computer, we are getting no lag that means no one is"

    Know what...

    Thinking about Starcraft days,
Playing games with people that use dialup internet connection, even if you had good fast speed, there dial up internet connection kinda made your connection funky.. Also with that, every min or two, game pauses shows the countdown timer for that person with bad internet. Ha, those were the days.. (This is one of the things GW2 needs, lag pause feature, but they dont learn from the master of esports.. Starcraft.. Hence you got people talking about there leaderboards being bad, and stuff... Just look at perfect Starcraft, do what they did LOL)... Them days with game messages be like "Gotta have good latency!!"

There must be a lot of people that use dialup connection in this game to make others feel the wrath of there slow speed!

except it is unlikely anyone with dial-up could even DOWNLOAD this game, let alone update it and actually get to teh main menu, it would likely lag itself to death as soon as you enter the prison.

    Yup true,
dial up is like in the kb speed, so 1 MB be like a 20 minute download.

I remember those days, you'd download a game (Everquest) and it said 22 hours remaining. And ya had to check on the computer to make sure the download didn't fail during the process as well LOL.
