Update, I have been trying to play since 12 noon and I've been bumped off server more than 20 times. The last time I was in a group and bump, I'm gone back to log on screen. I've done the game consultant and the repair. Still happening. This has never happened . Hope I can get it fixed.
it happens. I'm sure in some cases it's on the customer end but there's obviously a problem on ZOS side. Every time I get dumped to login, I can ping under 100 and speed over 35mbps and often up into early 40's. I've got all the ESO ports open with triggering and it still happens sometimes even with CPU and RAM under 40%. I just dont know........... ESO is the only program have this problem on but not the only game or resource hungry program I run.
There is nothing here of interest to any nations; as a matter of fact, there is nothing here but people.
I just finished up an escalated support case to determine the cause for this exact problem. In my own case, the final piece of the puzzle came down to my cable modem firewall blocking peer-to-peer connections. Once I disabled that, I have not experienced any disconnections, whereas before I'd get at least 10 an hour if not more.
Now, I haven't tested yet whether that, alone, resolves the issue because during the support process I also enabled port-triggering and set up exceptions for ESO so it's quite likely it's a combination of all the steps, but your best bet is to set up a support ticket and work with them. We maintained daily communication (I'd email them in the evening the results of their suggestions and they'd reply in the morning). Some of their initial steps may seem counter-productive or not directly related to the issue, but excluding what the causes aren't will help them narrow down what the cause is without chasing red herrings.
One crucial recommendation I have is when they suggest port forwarding, use port triggering instead.
I too am having issues today (NA server) - unresponsive when using interactables and dialogue options, getting booted from the server, and inability to log back in. It is not my internet or router (I have checked everything at this end).
