It isnt surprising this was addressed, Avanchnzel was always a good motif farm, but it exploded in popularity when it was also a place to acquire v10 recipes (at least in my faction, DC, since it is in our v10 area). For the first 3 weeks of 1.6, I would run through it 3-4 times a day (about 7 minutes each), and made well over 60k daily doing so. You pulled a motif from Avanchnzel about 80% of the time, and could also pull multiple recipes due to the sheer number of containers.

It was incredibly lucrative when I was selling v10 blue food recipes for 20-25k a piece. Its hard to imagine that one ruin is the intended way of acquiring Dwemer Motifs, which seem to have had their drop rate increased in 1.6 to compensate for how hard they were to acquire everywhere else.

Just ran Avanchnzel this morning (post 2.0.6) to see what they had done.

Half of the containers are now empty.

Same amount of trash gear (0 value).

But I picked up two recipes, and...

I dont think this is related to the store so much. Avanchnzel was a grind- or farm spot for motifs. ZoS will always nerf popular spots that people repeat for loot or exp. It's just what they do.

Zos is a business. They are here for money and they will do things to get money. They will eventually have to decide what is important in the means of lines not to cross but in the end, we are going to have to buy some things we want in order to play the game to our liking.

Zos instead of making pay 15 bucks a month having us pay for the game in another way.

You can choose to not support a game you are wanting to play by getting the items you want.

You can either sub the 15 a month and get all the crowns + 10% plus whatever.

Or you can play free and get nothing

Or you can help support the game by buying crowns each month.

It is your choice.

They will switch things around in order to encourage your monetary support of course. This sucks and I don't like it either but honestly these are cosmetic changes. ... so far.

They have not done anything to cross that line yet for pay to win. When they do Ill no longer contribute my sub like many and walk away.

I went to Avenchenzel yesterday, and out of 5 runs... I found 6 pages. So, yeah, the chances to find them HAS gone down, but it's not a huge nerf. The chances of still finding a Dwemer page drop ARE still pretty high.

Pulled another page last night, currently have half a book's worth of pages for sale in my guild's store. Also dropped 2000 off the price per to see if they move. Have most of you been to a ruin yet and seen what the drop rate for pages are right now?

This is why I'm glad that I farmed them like crazy when they came out, got my set, sold plenty of others and now have no personal issues with this although I see how it can screw over newer players depending on how bad the nerfs are. This reminds me of that whole Warlock bit... glad I stocked up on sets for alts even before I leveled them while they were still reasonable to find in AA/HR.

I keep buying under priced Dwemer motifs from my guild shops and reselling them for MM price. They usually sell the same day. Not sure why people here say they have a hard time selling them unless they're overpricing them.

Dwemer frames is where the market is now. I'm selling on EU at 4300 and they were at 4100 as of last night.

Although, what I have NEVER figured out, is how come Dwemer Scraps are MM valued at like 150g each....granted I NEVER see any on the stores.... *shrugs* Maybe time to be selling scrap at 500g a piece.

Oooo... frames... that's good to know!

I don't know what all the fuss is about with Dwemer gear, I think it's plain at best so despite having all the pages and a few frames I've never crafted any.

I'm not sure I know how to get Dwemer scraps. I've recently gone farming in Dwemer delves and cleared them about 7-8 times back to back, killed everything, looted everything. I got a few Dwemer motifs but not even one Dwemer scrap are they just very rare or am I not doing it right?

I get Dwemer scraps all the time from Dwemer ruins post the 2.0 update

You can find scrap in both containers and from killing the enemies. I'm finding a lot more since they added them to the containers. 3-4 trips through a lower level ruin is enough to make a frame.

Was waiting for someone to point that out. But you never know, maybe they'll increase containers in other Dwemer ruins sooner rather than never and it'll be alright; maybe.

They've also had nerfs like this before the crown store was a twinkle in the dev's eyes. They have a drop rate in mind from a game balance stand point. Those maps had a higher drop rate per hour then it was meant to. They fixed it. That's it.

So what's the difference between dwemer drop rate being nerfed and the rare motifs drop rate nerfed twice last year? Not to mention I think the 1 through 9 motifs drop rate was nerfed after couple of weeks. So again how is the dwemer any different then what has been done in the past?????? If people want pay forty dollars and some change or save up their monthly sub for four months good for them. Some of you conspiracy theorists need get a hole of yourselves your imagination is running wild

1.6 update came out, people started complaining about the nerf to finding purple motifs. I found the first one I found since I started playing beta and continued on non-stop until now.
