Trinity: what do you play/group as?

Since ESO is based on trinity (tank, healer, DD) there are certain problems with it. One of them is a problem when trying to find a group for dungeons. There has been a lot of talk why grouping tool is working with such poor performance and one of the ideas is that this is happening because there are too many DDs signing up for dungeons. Too many DDs in relation to the number of tanks and healers.

So, how do you group as:

I picked tank hecause that's what two of my characters exclusively queue as, but another one queues as dd/healer.

I'm planning on my main group character being a healer, but my guild have also let me use my 1st character, who is a damage dealer, so I voted both.

That's not why the LFG tool is kaput. There's way to many DD's in relation to tanks and healers in all MMO's. Yet, the LFG tool is up and running in most other games. There you have a 1 minute queue as tank, 10 minute queue as healer and like 1 hour queue as dps. Sucks to wait, but at least you get it eventually.

Always the lack of tanks. Some due to the fact that the tanks are expected to lead and set the phase a bit, people dont want the extra responsibility. Also tank gear and skills, being sort of useless for other situations. Many cant be bothered gathering the stuff.

Ironically though, the hardest thing to find when using a LFG tool or making pugs is really good DD's. It's harder to find that than a functional pug tank. Most good dps players use other venues to make groups. Thankfully you can complete most dungeons with mediocre dps, so it doesn't really matter.

I have played all three "roles" in groups and I don't prefer one of any others, and I also think every role should be equal to the others, although that's not necessarily how things end up.

Usually people want to "top the DPS charts" because it's all about measuring destruction- and less about building an effective team.

They usually learn what I mean by all this when they're constantly spamming zone chat for healers. nuff said.

I primarily play DPS, but recently added tank to my NB's repertoire since 1.6. A mix of boredom and lack of tanks when we need them.

i play dungeons a lot and usually go as dd and sometimes as healer. I mostly pug. In normal hours i wait not more than 10 minutes. If we say that 10 minutes is ok than we can make conclusion that there is no role unbalance.
My point is that people are not using grouping tools coz they dont have habit using it . I started playing ESO since release and grouping tool was more broke than functioning and that is reason why people dont have habit using it. If it is working i would use it rather than LFG through chat.

Medium armor stamina build. When I need to go DPS, I take great sword and bow. If I need to tank, I swap out bow for sword and shield. Surprisingly, I can tank pretty well in medium armor with my build. I almost never run out of stamina due to medium armor passives and my skill rotation.

I've also got a light armor magicka build on an alt who is heals/DPS. Since high magicka/crit benefits both, its easy to do heals and DPS together with a magicka build.
