Loyalty rewards must continue

It is ridiculous that they discontinued this, as people who had accumulated payed time in anticipation of the final rewards will never get them. It is essentially a big "*** you" to all but the most loyal (read: insane) fans who payed every month since day 1.
I suggest that they become available through Plus membership or purchasable store items.

You payed to play-test a game that nearly every MMO player was saying was going to go F2P/B2P in a year, not our fault you did not listen........

Previous rewards were part of the loyalty program in TESO.

We are currently in TESO TU and rewards for staying subscribed are bonuses, crowns and access to future DLC.

Already made it clear that they will not continue the loyalty program TESO TU.

Nice try. Actually I didn't pay anything, the first month was free. I'm speaking on behalf of others who payed for it, but won't ever get to see the later rewards.

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't pay for a year of subs only to fund a bunch of F2players so they could come play the game and whine about adding more and more things to the cash shop so they don't have to earn it in game.

And if mandatory suscription had continued we would not have the problems related to the store that exist today, but things change and we must learn to adapt.

We're not in TESO (unfortunately), we are now in TESO TU and how current reward is to bonuses, crowns and access to future dlc.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to continue the rewards with the Plus subscription while still being F2P. If that were the case, and if I enjoyed TU enough that I decide it's worth paying for Plus, I'd still be rewarded for loyalty, and be much more inclined to support them. Instead ZOS *Snip* for not spending $200+ on a game which they knew was sub-par, AND expects us to pay for Plus with promises of future (read: hot air) DLC. See where this is going?

    [snip]

Out of all the MMOs in the world, only 4 are succedful with their P2P model, WOW, EVE online, FF11 and FF14. FF14 was the only one in teh past 5 years to stay P2P, and it had to be compeltely redesigned from the ground up as a different MMO because the first iteration failed hard.

The real kicker was the imperial race being behind a paywall when they declared there would be no paywalls because they wanted everyone who payed $15 to have the same experience, that, right there, should have turned on all your alarm bells.

Look at Swtor, made by a great devoloper, based on an AMAZING, and even more well-known IP, and it failed badly.

sorry, but the writing was on the wall for this game from the start.

I honestly do not what is your true concept of TESO, but I love it and I do not need any evidence to decide to lend my support and continue playing.

The reason to not continue with those rewards is simple to understand, we're not at the initial stage where many growth accompanied and supported the video game and the company.

Unfortunately, many chose not to do, this is why subscription model did not work and we are currently in TU.

These awards were part of a special moment and extend their stay would defeat its true purpose, which was to reward those who keep there at that time.

how is it NOT your fault. Even a little research and common sense would have told you to not listen to the hype around the game.

Well the writing on the wall said F2P so you and others were wrong, it went B2P. Plus I do believe if they would of had a better release with out the bots ruining the game things could have gone a lot better. They lost a lot of people just over that!

??? Most of use just said it would lose the subscription, you guys were still screwed over bigtime, not sure why you are arguing this. Those bots did not help, but to think that that was the ONLY reason they lost P2P is laughably stupid. The game was EXTREMELY bugged and 100% unbalanced for most of the sub model.

I've been *Snip* twice by ZOS. Once by buying TOS on launch, twice by this discontinuing of the loyalty program. And contrary to what you said, they do need money from loyal customers. But why would I support them, now that I distrust them completely? I don't expect them to deliver any future DLC. If they do, they will surely disappoint me in true ZOS fashion. They just keep shooting themselves in the foot, and I don't understand. They should care, you should care, because without our money, TU will be shut down, and people will have wasted even more money on DLCs that never came *Snip*

I missed the Senche Tiger because of a few days. I had the audacity to let my subscription lapse for a few weeks in the summer because of training. I figured I could wait a few weeks because I would not be able to physically log into the game during the time.

I contacted ZOS because I was sure they would make an exception, after all I had after bought the Imperial Edition, 270 days of paid game time (not including the 30 free days). Hell I even bought the $100 ESO Book Collection (which is very nice BTW). I never received a response to my first ticket, and after 3 weeks I submitted another. After a week, I receive a polite, but firm response that said they would not add the item under any circumstances as the loyalty program had ended, and they were not capable of adding it to my account. The current policy would not be changed or bended for anyone (although it was implied that maybe the policy could change in the future).

My response was to please see that my complaint was forwarded to the the person who made the policy, and the notice that I would neither resubscribe, or spend another dime on ESO until the policy was changed to offer some flexibility, or to reinstate the loyalty program. I was told they would forward my email to the person who was in charge, but have not heard anything back (and I doubt I will).

What bothers me the most is that had they told us earlier about the required 300 days, I would not have let me subscription lapse for the three weeks.

If anyone else feels the same way as I do, I implore you to open a ticket and express your problems with the end of the loyalty system. You won't get your mount, but you may just help convince them how big of a mistake they have made. To treat their most loyal customers (well–near most, the most did get the mount I suppose) this way is simply unacceptable. And to be honest, the policy makes no sense, by continuing the loyalty program, and adding extra bennies accounts, they encourage players to keep their subscriptions active. Many games use this model successfully.

Not fussed either way now, i get crowns for the sub, 10% exp bonus and the Sensche mount was great.

In fact, the majority of the loyalty bonuses were an annoying distraction.

All I can say is... don't get too attached to your loyalty rewards. The plug will be pulled eventually on this game (hopefully not for a very long time). In the end, it's all pixels and bits. Don't invest emotionally on virtual stuff.

The loyalty program was a gimmick.

If you were playing solely to get an occasional gift from ZO, then this isn't the game for you. Play the game because you enjoy it, not because you enjoy getting a pat on the head for playing.

I honestly would rather get crowns than automatically be given a pet or costume or whatever that I may or may not like. This way I can purchase what I want from the Crown store. If I don't find anything I want, I can save my crowns to use later on. Plus I get some cool bonuses. This works for me.

This is why, after they announced that their loyalty programme was ending, they altered the requirements for all the rewards to paid, not elapsed time. They wanted to give their players to chance to get any rewards they wanted but would miss out on. Granted there was only a month's notice before the deadline, but once they decided to end the programme they had to draw the line somewhere.
I missed 6 weeks myself due to a broken harddrive, but was still able to meet all the requirements without any added effort.

Yes, you did not stay loyal to the game. Sounds harsh but thats what loyalty programs do.
