I don't know about you, but this just might completely ruin my wanting of the console version.

ZoS - Why on earth would you do this? I see absolutely NO reasoning for this. Can you please at least clarify how on earth non voice chatters are supposed to communicate?

Seriously I completely fail to see a valid reason. PC version clearly gets it, Neverwinter Xbox One has it, I just don't get the exclusion. I'll very likely cancel my preorder if this turns out to be the case. I won't be able to communicate with ANYONE without this.

Zos - Can you at least give us the reasoning behind this seemingly incredibly poor decision? How are we non voice chatters supposed to communicate for trading, looking for groups, general guild chit-chat, heck general area chit chat?

Edited to clarify the point. As long as they somehowly manage a good replacement system for communicating in all the above fields for those without the ability to voice chat, it's fine. But really, I don't see how.

Okay, that's being rude. But there isn't text chat in Halo, GTA, or nigh on any other game I've seen outside of Neverwinter. I personally will probably minimize the text box completely if I can and get it out of the way. There is nothing other players will be saying that I'll really want to see anyway. If we need to group or talk, we can do so easily through party chat.

Of course I'm an Xbox user, so party chat and microphones are fairly common and well-used. Again, my opinion.

Oh, and Neverwinter allows you to use the on-screen keyboard to talk, if you want to. Not sure if this is what ESO will do, but as clunky as that keyboard is, I'd rather just skip it.

I would buy a wireless keyboard, but I don't think Xbone supports bluetooth hookups, so meh.

I hoped you would follow that final fantasy games footsteps but sadly you didnt,It offers crossplay and keyboard+mouse support.

I said it in another thread but I'll say it again. With no type chat it limits our ability to sell to other players outside of our guild which will place additional pressure on guilds to get guild stores.

But the big one for me is that different guild raids will be unable to coordinate simultaneous attacks in CyrodiilI if they are not in say distance of each other without type chat. Please reconsider this decision ZOS or at least let us know why you have made this big change.

I love voice chat but for practical reasons this game needs type chat as well.

Use the force OP:P naw hope they fix whatever issues need done for the console crew.

I can imagine the frustration being unable to type in a MMO on console.

You cant compare this to GTA or Halo,Those arent MMOS
