Would the game be better if Spell Damage and Weapon Damage were one stat?
It could be called... Ability Damage. And it would be increased by both stamina and magicka*.
It's a thought. Feel free to annihilate this post with your comments.
But if increasing your either your magikca or stamina stat raised the damage of all your abilities equally, hybrid DPS builds would be a lot more viable. And racial passives that raise these stats would be useful in raising your max stamina or magicka but players would have a lot more flexibility when choosing a race. Passives would have a less direct impact on DPS.
Ultimately, people would have more options when putting together a build.
*Obviously, it would have to contribute less than magikca and stamina do right now for the sake of balance.
