When? Does anyone know when ZOS is releasing? The images floating around where data-mined but no info was attached. ZOS, can you possibly tell us when we can see these amazing pots available?

We don't have an ETA on them, @hummice, but we'll let everyone know when they're in the Crown Store. The details of how they work, who can use them, the duration, etc. are still being tweaked, too.

I cant imagine them affecting CP gain, i see these as straight-XP gain- perfect for anyone who would like to have their lv 35 templar in Vet ranks quickly so they can stop repec'ing their nightblade as a healer over and over again, at 6000+ gold each time... Just saying.

Hopefully not, though admittedly it would have been good to have had that communicated when news of them was starting to float around, given how polarizing that aspect of them is. I think them affecting Champion Point gains vs. only affecting skill line xp/leveling experience speed, is the main thing a lot of us are wondering still :). The rest might be liked or disliked to varying degrees but wouldn't result in a whole lot more than grumbling :p.

CP are already separated internally :). You can see this through the API and find out what percentage of your XP is being applied to your CP. Without enlightenment it's 100%, and when enlightened, you see an extra 3x multiple added in. The same thing is done with Veteran Points (VP) as well.

If you were just starting a 10 year prison sentence, wouldn't you like to see it reduced to 9 years, instead?

Face it, 3600 CP with only 1 Enlightenment point per day is a 10 year sentence of grinding mobs like you were breaking rocks in a prison chain gang! Anything that can be done to reduce that grind is fine with me.

If they don't affect CP, they won't sell. Nor should they.

If they affect CP, I'll burn my whole crown 'allowance' and then some on them. If they don't, why bother with them. They have to be a large enough boost to be worth bothering with as well. Anything less than 50%, which for the math challenged is 1/8 of enlightened gains, why bother.

I don't have 6+ hours per day to grind out CP, but I'll gladly spend a few of the dollars I made working while others are playing to catch up a little.

Yes. They should only be used to reach VR14 quicker.

The problem with XP potions affecting CP isn't with the person who takes 10 years to reach 3600. The problem is with the people who will reach 3600CP with these XP potions while the rest of us are at 200CP.

The problem lies with how grindy vet levels/CP gains are, not with the EXP pots themselves.

CP isn't supposed to be a grind. It is intended to be a gentle achievement system as you play at endgame in order to give you something.

If you choose to grind it then - go for it.

That said, there is no way on earth that the xp pots will 'not affect CP'. Of course they will. Imagine the lost sales if they were of no benefit to anyone at VR14. Crazy talk!

Better to just accept it and move on. Play or don't play.

XP earned are contributed to CP at a 1 to 1 ration unless enlightened in which case it is 4 to 1.

One would assume that if XP was increased by 50% so would the rate of CP gain... either at x1.5 a normal or at x6.0 when enlightened.

Certainly this is how the +10% from ESO+ works currently - 110% gain normally with 440% gain when enlightened.

As the grind from VR1-14 is less than 1% of the CP grind they would be losing potentially 99% of the market by leaving CP out of the systems that could benefit.

I'm not taking a side here BTW.

Of course XP potions will affect CP points too. Otherwise it makes no sense to add them to the game. I would like to see how it will work. I don't need any XP boosters now (I am almost VR10 and still in VR5 zone...) but perhaps will need it when wil lbe VR14... Will see.

Thing is, if they don't make them for CP´s, then nobody will buy them ;) The gap at ESO isn't there because of 1-50, but because of VR-14 and the CP´s that people gain there.

A new player has 0, but would need a year to catch up with those currently in their 200s+. ZOS must fix this, else no new players will join.

These potions would be great for new players, returning players and after long breaks to avoid a power gap with active players, even if something different would be better (like a different diminishing return curve on Champion system or a cap).
This gap, that will be bigger in future, is the main concern PvP wise (+ performances in Cyrodiil) of all my guildies back to game with the new business model.
Because of this, I can understand them if PvP wise they prefer to stick to GW2, while waiting for another RvR game.

But for this, stored enlightenment shouldn't have just 12 days limit.
