When will skill points be sold in crown store?

This would be buy to win! And I am completely against that. However buying a subscription for the 10% extra exp which makes champion point leveling easier is not buy to win because.... I'll get back to you on that.

Sure I do. P2W is paying for power and/or a clear advantage over other players. Buying skill points is just that. Here's why:

Yes, actually it does. It gives a player a skill point that someone can NEVER earn in game. The person who buys that skill point can still earn all of the ones the other person can, and buy MORE. Advantage.

Of course not. It's a skill point. However, it appears obvious you would consider end-game gear in the store as P2W (and I would agree). So by your above logic that skill points wouldn't give an advantage because players can earn them in game, end-game gear would not be P2W either. Thereby contradicting your argument.

p2w is hard to quantify but if it can save time it has an opportunity cost, then that is what it is. Because you do not have to spend time getting skill points you can do other things to make your character stronger than if you did not.

Zen needs to put a line in the sand and give us a direction and stick to it, but Matt F said the game would not go BTP, btw Wildstar is that going BTP, EB has pulled the game off the shelves in Australia

Everything can be considered convenience. It's convenient to just buy a level 50 character that already has spent skill points and levelled morphs.

I would like to see sky shard treasure maps in the store. So you can buy a map that leads to a trove of skyshards, like 15/30/45 of 'em depending on how much you paid for the map. Hunting them down can be such a pain even with add-ons so this would be a great, convenient, alternative.

It doesn't really matter if these are sold at this point because Zenimax already crossed the pay2win line with skill respec, attribute respec, repairs, and motifs. Buying any of these with crowns means players will save massive amounts of gold that can then be spent on anything, including superior gear. It is just like buying gold with real money.

Troll post or not you know it's gonna happen, just like Legendary Tempers being added to the store soon enough. Everything ZoS has written out uses 100% broad terminology and can be applied in any way they see fit. The CoC are even worded so vaguely that they can ban you just because they don't like you so why would the Crown Store be any different?

I can honestly see ZoS using their own broadly defined terminology "convenience items" to add all kinds of stuff to the Crown Store that many wouldn't like. In the end I'm 99% certain that the Devs are no longer in control of ESO and the upper management (the cash flow deciding folks) are the ones running the show since ~November of 2014. That would explain most of the horrible game decisions made by ZoS (as a company, not specifically via the Devs) for the past ~6 mo or so.

Instead of worrying about the next crown store abomination, we need to ask ZOS if they have lowered the drop rates of rare motifs to encourage crown store sales.

There is plenty of moral hazard already here to be worried about future moral hazard.

All drop rates should be public and patchnotes should show changes. Sunlight is the best of disinfectants.

I wish you luck man. We've been trying to get ZoS to be more transparent about game related things for a year now and you can see how well that has worked to date

If you finish all story quests, sky shards and dungeons you get 277 skill points
2 more for doing the mage guild quest correctly
1 per PVP rank (excluding the first)

Why do you need more skill points then that?

Now if they SOLD PVP Alliance rank on the crown store, so you can buy L50 PVP and get the 49 skill points from that, lots of non PVP players would love it, but the screams from PVP players who earned it the long way would be too loud.

Wow.. the cancer that has warped the MMO genre. Seriously if it has any effect on abilities in-game, it has NO business being in the crown store.

It's what makes it interesting at the beginning, where everything is leveling quickly and you have to decide how you are going to place your points and overcome weaknesses to survive and progress anyway. Later on you'll have more points than you need.

And more importantly there is no sense of achievement without adversity/effort.
