He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

That said, neither console decided to adopt 4k. Huge mistake on their part. It'll be 8 more years before I go to a 4k TV, if my primary entertainment console couldn't even support it if it wanted to.

Its not sad at all. Everyone has a different set up and equipment and desires or preferences. For me, I can see the difference between 720p and 1080p
900p is not as drastic on the xbox one as it up scales very well BUT there is a noticeable difference depending on your TV, distance, settings just not as drastic as 720p

As an xbox guy who also plays PC, it's always funny to hear the Playstation fanboi's (read, irrational players who are more interested in hating Xbox or MS than any other thing) chatter about how their console gets 1080 and I don't. As I mentioned, that's really irrelevant to me.
Especially when you can show them PC's that are far better than 1080p, and they become dismissive of 'elitism'. Just irrational. I'm fine with people preferring and supporting what they have. The attacking gets annoying to me.
To the point of the post, I would expect 1080p from PS4 and 900 from Xbone, as per standard on the marketplace. I also would expect both consoles to begin to lag out in Cyrodiil and in populated cities, as is the norm.
And I expect Xbox to see less downtime due to hacks and security vulnerabilities this year than Playstation. They are what they are, after all.

Even top-of-the-line systems with Titan X's can barely handle 4K games with decent fps. No way could they have built that into a 2013 console and had it cost less than $1,500. Besides, it remains to be seen if 4K will ever even catch on. Unless you have a *huge* TV or sit inches from it, that resolution is crazy overkill anyway. Even that hunking big screen at most movie theaters is still only 2K.
Personally, I think 4K is just another in a long line of gimmicks from the monitor/TV manufacturers who got hooked on the profits from those crazy sales during the transition to HDTV and thought the party would last forever. It's just another thing most people would never really benefit from, but someone is trying to get them to buy into.
Frankly, I would be happy if both consoles just got to consistently handling 1080p at 60fps. The PS4 definitely comes closer to this than the Xbox One. But neither can yet deliver it consistently.

4k will get here, but definitely not on this, or the next generation of consoles.
Which game was it on the XBONE that made a big craze in the market shortly after release of the console? It was a FPS that dropped as 720p. Besides all the other shenanigans that MS tried to pull, that's still just sad for the hype they were pushing for the "new" consoles.

It now seems that the Xbox one can handle 1080p quite well however the developers aren't able to use certain engines to get 1080p. Xbox should've been a lot more involved with gaming engines while thinking about their platform.NewBlacksmurf wrote: »ruze84b14_ESO wrote: »

Yeah, possibly that one. I remember one of my coworkers becoming quite upset when he found out the XBONE couldn't handle games as they had been advertised. He eventually switched to PS4, heh.
