Are there any guilds that recruit regionally in an effort to create RL associations and events as well as foster in game coop and support?

I've talked with another officer in our guild once briefly about maybe seeing if anyone wanted to do a guild weekend or something neat where we all go somewhere on a trip to meet irl and have fun. It's more costly than doing a regional thing though. I like the concept.
