Is it against the rules to buy or sell game codes from other players, including on sites like G2A.com? I've heard mixed debate on this and while I like to promote folks to get the cheapest deal possible, I don't want to encourage others to break the rules. I've even seen other topics like
pig codes, handed out during quake con, requests were shut down on the forums Since they did not want to encourage the selling of codes.
From the TOS:
Limited License to Use
Subject to the terms in these Terms of Service and Your compliance with all of the terms and conditions in these Terms of Service, ZeniMax grants to You, for Your personal and private use only, a non-exclusive, revocable, nontransferable license to use Services as set forth in these Terms of Service.
You may not (a) distribute, publicly perform or display, sell, transmit, publish, edit, reproduce, sublicense, rent, lease, loan or otherwise transfer any Game, Software, and/or Content, including without limitation any access keys; (b) modify, adapt, reverse engineer or decompile the Software, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Software; (c) create any derivative works based upon any Services;
This also makes me leery of doing any ESO giveaways on stream, since it's technically distributing correct? From the things I know currently:
1. Selling an account with an email attached: No, violates the TOS
2. Selling a game code for ESO: ???
3. Giving away a game code for ESO: ???
4. Selling an adventures pack code: ???
5. Giving away an adventures pack code: ???
6. Selling a pet code: No (on the forums?)
7. Giving away a pet code: ???
8. Selling 60 day time cards: ???
9. Giving away 60 day time cards: ???
Any how, I would just like a clarification so I can keep myself clean in the eyes of the law, I wouldn't want to be hiding in an outlaw refuge till my bounty runs out.
