Xbox One / PS4 beta email surveys are going out today

If you signed up long ago it looks like the BETA email which is a survey that asks you to pick your console and server is out.

I got mine today too. I just hope they let us preload, if not i will probably only get to play for 15 minutes on the last day. I'll be a sad panda.

The email isn't console specific. The good thing is that it allows you to choose one or the other
Pre-download....Considering its beta I don't know that I've ever had a pre-download beta option

I got mine today as a PS4/EU user. All it contains is a questionnaire asking you what platform you intend to play on and what megaserver you will use.

Other people will get their e-mail soon no doubt!

I had a pre-download for FFXIV beta on PS4 which helped because it took so long to download.

Exactly, all it asks is which platform and which megaserver you will be joining. From what I understand it is only going to those that signed up for the beta from a long time ago.

I got one on another email of mine, one I did not buy the game on. Yet my main account that I did buy the game with did not get a survey email. I know for a fact that I signed up for the console beta with both of those emails, along with 3 others. Only one got the survey email though. One WITHOUT a purchased account tied to it.

It's hard to tell at this point if they're already setting the survey/invites to "random", or if their email system is being slow like it did for the Free Weekend email for people who were in the PC beta.

Either way, I'm glad at least one of my emails got the survey. I am wanting the Console version of ESO far more than I ever wanted the PC version. Native controller support, UI built from the ground up just for consoles, all players have the exact same performance, etc.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, I clicked the "Take the survey" link in the email again to see what would happen. It gives me: "Survey Previously Submitted", so that's a good thing.

It's less than 60 days out so I think that info usually comes via an announcement AFT BETA starts. I'd follow them on Twitter and the console version of your desire. Xbox One is very famous for opening up closed beta to ppl.

ALSO you may still be able to get a code...this wave is for the original interest group and its only a survey email so hopefully it moreso gathering info rather than limiting the beta to those who signed up over a year ago

I havent gotten a beta inv yet,But then again why would they think i got an xbox one,But i think i signed up for xbox a loong time ago,but cant be sure,anyway its not far to the release,I hope there will be an open beta since that would be best

The email is unique to each email address sharing it isn't possible

"The event is coming up fast and we need a few more details from you."

So fingers crossed it'll only be one week away!
I guess it's a huuuge download, as it usually is, so I hope the dl will be out in good time before the session starts!

The Beta of the PC version when I played it was ~22.5 GB. I remember this because the game had the nasty habit of downloading the entire 22.5GB in archives, then extract them all making the actual HDD requirement 45GB. Anyone who didn't have enough to extract it just got a vague "Not enough space" error, then had to redownload the entire 22.5GB again from the start.

Since the Console version will not have numerous texture settings and other stuff that the PC version has though, I'm going to guess right around 18GB. That is only if they include whatever zones were in the PC version beta though.

Remember that unless it's longer than a weekend, anything larger than 10-12gig will knock a lot of people out of playing due to bandwidth max downloads. I'm expecting levels 1-18 only with a possibility of 1-20 which cuts out a lot of data. Also the basic console has a max of 345gig to use so it would be very unwise to have a 25gig beta

The PC beta updated to be the full PC game. That won't happen on console so they should only have a max of 10-12 gig to be consistent with other beta console games that have had success in the past.

Who knows tho

*sniffle* *whimper* The last thing I got from ZOS was confirmation that I bought and paid for my transfer. They know I'm here and they know I have a console so where is my email? I'm going to hold my breath until it comes (or not)
