I get disconnected. Every. Time.

How are they doing this? I have no idea. Whenever we are fighting DC, I have no problems. Why can't ZOS fix this?

Everyone has a choice and this hasn't changed nor will it any time soon . ZOS is not going to change their rules on EP or any other faction to make the game playable . There is NO solution . They can't fix the lag . They won't change combat just for pvp and they won't allow to name or shame anyone . Even if they did , that wouldn't solve the problem either . They will have to re write the bad programming or just leave it as is and hope you stay anyways .

This is because EP lags the server and ZOS won't do anything about it. They use software to auto attack causing server lag.
They call me the magic man.

Here is how it is done. Just tab target the enemy and hit ctrl + shift + alt + f4, and they will be auto disconnected. For some reason this works best against DC.

Please don't blame whole faction because of one small guild's action. I have encountered many skilled EP players in my one year of ESO pvping (In DC also :) ).

Blame ZOS for not fixing the problem, Blame that guild for continuously exploiting the server's weakness to their favor

    I won't blame the entire EP. I know it's just a small group/guild.

Yesterday I crashed 3 times when EP showed up. First the lag started (with only a small band fighting) and then crash. This was at Chalman and Kings.

Later we went Roebeck, and a huge number of AD appeared. NO LAG AT ALL. Nothing.

We all know this. It is annoying. I don't understand why or how. But if some people do this intentional why do they want to ruin PvP. Soon everybody leaves and the game will DIE. Because pure PvE is boring in this game. After doing all quests you are DONE. The dailies are like playing Doom and then E1M1 over and over and over and over again every day.

I play for PvP but yesterday it was to much for me. the lag and crashes made me stop playing earlier then normal. Soon the witcher 3 and GTA5 will come to PC and I will do that to calm down.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Paul Sage said, to many player in an area creates lag, now I have noticed lag when certain zerg forces stay kinda tight, as opposed to less tight zerg forces. I have some great large battles on thorny NA, with little to lag, then the zerg ballish team shows up and lag starts, and not just once in awhile but every time, which is evidence that this kind of play tactic causes lag, but I would have to say everyone should be getting lag even the zerglings, this is a product of the issue with the server, I do believe other factors come into play, particle effects, add ons, and the core problem to many players in one area.

There is a segment of people for which winning comes first no matter the cost.

Even if it will destroy AvA in the long run, it doesn't matter to them as long as they are "winning."

This right here is the root of the problem.

    /Sighs in resigned agreement.
    People play games to win.
If you give them tools to win....by design or accident....they will use them to the full.
It simply depends on how competitive the user is.

If you don't build/design in the full knowledge anything you do will be studied for any kind of exploit....you are asking for a kick in the privates really for your naivety.
[not directed at you....game designers in general]

ZOS has there head in the sand. We don't release formulas to stop min maxers.
Min maxers are going to suss out the forumlas anyway.
It just means no one else has access to the informaton they have so cant hope to compete.

Secrecy has never helped anyone in the long run. Just sowed division, hatred and distrust.

Mr. Sage, is giving a very generalized political statement which proves either option A) zos knows nothing about the actual problem, or option B) zos wants to cover up the problem until they can find a resolution to it.
Yes, no one can disagree with his "general statement"; obviously that's why he said it. But, it's not the issue at hand we're discussing!
The issue at hand is when the ENTIRE BLUE faction goes up against the ENTIRE YELLOW faction; there is LITTLE TO NO LAG.
Yet this is not the case when a particular guild of red goes up against anyone; the lag is horrible & anyone facing them WILL DIE. Even if we attempt to fight it out by "button spamming", that just means the fight will last 20-30 minutes, we'll get carpal tunnel in the process, & we'll still die.

Tonight, for the first time ever, I experienced this. I was playing in a gank group on EU Blackwater Blade, but was involved in numerous large-scale situations against AD, with no problems. Moved onto the other side of the map... did plenty of smaller scale combat scenarios, with no problems. But, every single time I hit the main "red zerg", my ping immediately went to 999+, I lost the ability to do anything at all - no skills would work, couldn't use siege etc. etc. And, after 30 seconds or so, I would get booted from the server. Log back in... to see my dead body with 50+ reds (OK, this might be an exaggeration, but a ... *load of reds) standing around it. After the 5th consecutive time this happened, I just gave up trying to play. I could not even defend a keep by deploying a fire ballista, because once deployed it, I lost all ability to interact with it. Completely and utterly pointless gaming.

It should be noted, however, that I was the only one in my group experiencing this... so I doubt that the "reds" were doing anything deliberately bad.... just that some of our internet connections cannot handle the 3905839023589023 reds to attack 1 keep scenario. Still... for me, it's completely pointless gaming.

Hello, all. Please do not accuse other individuals, guilds, or alliances of intentionally causing lag. Accusing folks like this leads to very inflammatory discussions and are not appropriate.

If you wish to discuss lag in general, you may use the official thread.
