Ya..people are still under the impression we will get content like a sub based game. We won't. It will be lots of crown store things and some DLC zones. But they have already said that when DLC comes out they will add things in the crown store for that theme. Expect all the motifs, mounts and such to be in the store.
There will be no more NEW systems implemented into the game for a very long time, if ever. No more new skill lines..nothing. I hope they prove me wrong so you can all laugh at me but somehow...I doubt it.
Think about it. Have you read all the thread in this forum with people actually asking and making request for the crown store. Why would they spend months making a new area or zone when all these people are asking for is name change scrolls or a new dress. They can probably get $30 for a mount that took them a fraction of the time it takes to make a zone to sale for the same price. Any truly meaningful things coming to the game are over...except maybe Imperial City which they took the luxury to make while it was on Sub. Its all a race to get things on the crown store now.

While I wouldn't be surprised if you were right... I think you're wrong.
It would be a HUGE mistake for them not to implement things like Spellcrafting, Jewelry crafting, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood skill lines etc. They would lose a lot of business. They had to have some sort of idea that they were going to go B2P around the time consoles were going to be released, unless it was a sudden change and therefore killed all they had planned, kind of hard to tell. In my opinion this game may say Elder Scrolls in the title but it is no where NEAR an Elder Scrolls game. If Bethesda released a new Elder Scrolls single player game SO many players would leave this game in the dust.
They should innovate and change the way players see B2P games. Release amazing content, introduce new systems and skill lines, bring in new zones from around Tamriel and Nirn. They have the opportunity here to hit a homerun, make up for the boring vet zones and get players interested to see what's next versus what we have now which is "what will they break next". The ball is in their court here... to just keep it the way it is now but add a few things here and there would be a mistake. They need to make money as a B2P game, to keep it going. They need players to sub and want that ESO Plus membership and streaming out new stuff every 2-3 months would do that.
Plus, I am not sure when the comments ZOS made that others have claimed but in a Q&A session on Reddit right before Update 6 hit someone asked about Spellcrafting and Gina (I believe) mentioned that it was still planned to be released.

vr 6 and almost done with cadwells gold, looking at a bleak grind towards v14.
Only thing that keeps me interested is the PvP atm, since PvE is unbearably monotone.

I am VR9 and only started with Cadwell's gold with very minimal grind and have done zero pvp.

Don't expect anything other than fodder for the Crowns Store, unless they package new content as an "expansion".
New zones, such as the Imperial City? Pay Crowns for it. Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood? Many Crowns or $40+ as an expansion. Spellcrafting? This reeks of expansion as well... new system, new expansion, just as was precedented in Skyrim, with housing etc.

Maybe there won't even be an update 7 for a while :0
