If it comes after the console launch then good luck dealing with the new players. I hope it won't be on this forum.
vr 6 and almost done with cadwells gold, looking at a bleak grind towards v14.
Only thing that keeps me interested is the PvP atm, since PvE is unbearably monotone.

They are NOT working on Spellcrafting it was announced with TU they "might" start working on it a little after console release. I would guess that it wont happen though because now they have to bring out Xpacs and cosmetic items to make money

Ya..people are still under the impression we will get content like a sub based game. We won't. It will be lots of crown store things and some DLC zones. But they have already said that when DLC comes out they will add things in the crown store for that theme. Expect all the motifs, mounts and such to be in the store.

There will be no more NEW systems implemented into the game for a very long time, if ever. No more new skill lines..nothing. I hope they prove me wrong so you can all laugh at me but somehow...I doubt it.

Think about it. Have you read all the thread in this forum with people actually asking and making request for the crown store. Why would they spend months making a new area or zone when all these people are asking for is name change scrolls or a new dress. They can probably get $30 for a mount that took them a fraction of the time it takes to make a zone to sale for the same price. Any truly meaningful things coming to the game are over...except maybe Imperial City which they took the luxury to make while it was on Sub. Its all a race to get things on the crown store now.

While I wouldn't be surprised if you were right... I think you're wrong.

It would be a HUGE mistake for them not to implement things like Spellcrafting, Jewelry crafting, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood skill lines etc. They would lose a lot of business. They had to have some sort of idea that they were going to go B2P around the time consoles were going to be released, unless it was a sudden change and therefore killed all they had planned, kind of hard to tell. In my opinion this game may say Elder Scrolls in the title but it is no where NEAR an Elder Scrolls game. If Bethesda released a new Elder Scrolls single player game SO many players would leave this game in the dust.

They should innovate and change the way players see B2P games. Release amazing content, introduce new systems and skill lines, bring in new zones from around Tamriel and Nirn. They have the opportunity here to hit a homerun, make up for the boring vet zones and get players interested to see what's next versus what we have now which is "what will they break next". The ball is in their court here... to just keep it the way it is now but add a few things here and there would be a mistake. They need to make money as a B2P game, to keep it going. They need players to sub and want that ESO Plus membership and streaming out new stuff every 2-3 months would do that.

Plus, I am not sure when the comments ZOS made that others have claimed but in a Q&A session on Reddit right before Update 6 hit someone asked about Spellcrafting and Gina (I believe) mentioned that it was still planned to be released.

Don't expect anything other than fodder for the Crowns Store, unless they package new content as an "expansion".
New zones, such as the Imperial City? Pay Crowns for it. Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood? Many Crowns or $40+ as an expansion. Spellcrafting? This reeks of expansion as well... new system, new expansion, just as was precedented in Skyrim, with housing etc.

If they want to release new content, bring in some good sized update and call it an "Expansion" in the same view as Dawnguard or Dragonborn for Skyrim a.k.a. DLC's then bring it on. Why couldn't they just do that? Make minor patches here and there, put some commodity stuff in the Crown Store like more costumes etc. and give us expansions for new content every couple months.

    Are we console peasants players?

Nope, so no content will come before they finish leveling etc and require it.

    Because priorities. Sigh...

It actually seems like there's a lot in the works via datamining, though I'm not sure that we'll get anything major just yet. I imagine it would be risky implementing something big alongside the console release. They'd more likely want things to be clean and smooth. I would predict a store update over the summer though plus changes to the VR system hopefully and a new area in the fall, but these are entirely guesses.

Update 7 will bring nothing like that. Updates won't bring content, DLCs will.

They announced a billion features but didn't release any of them.
