Any Sorc/staff skills that won't break Rune Cage?

I like the idea of Rune Cage because it says DoT skills won't break the effect. But most of the DoT skills seem to have initial damage + DoT. Can someone recommend one that won't end the effect? Preferably an area cast but enemy is fine as well.

I know Lightning Form, Entropy and Soul Trap don't break it. Lightning Splash shouldn't either as far as I'm aware.

I know for a fact Daedric Curse will not break Ruin Cage until it activates.

Thanks. I'm really hoping for an area effect that won't break it. If splash doesn't work I'll def use curse. Thanks for the info.

I didn't include daedric curse and magicka detonation because they break cage early but they are good for a burst combo when combined with volcanic rune.

Do you use this for mobs?

I am getting a build together for pvp that uses it. Since disoreint stacking was a bug on the PTS I am looking at casting rune cages while under the immovable buff. You either break the cage or get low enough to get bursted.

You can use it in pve too if you want but i like raw damage better. There are edge cases where if a boss mob or an elite can be caged you use that and they can't hit you the entire fight but I don't feel the need to split mobs with it.

I just tried it and had trouble trapping more than one enemy at a time with one cast. My thought was that I could drop that to immobilize a mob with one cast and then load D0T on them. Prob too easy right?

It only works on one. There's another bug that lets you do more on PTS but on live rune cage just replaces itself.

Overload heavy attack doesn't break the cage either. Pretty useful with a 3rd hotbar just for dots. Flurry doesn't break it either. i keep finding more and more stuff lol.
