Should Cyrodiil quests contribute to AVA experience?

I personally would love it if this was an option, though of course with certain limitations.
The number limitation would be that the exp would only be rewarded to one of the two Alliance war skills trees.
Number 2 would be that only a certain percentage (25-50 tops) of the total quest exp would be rewarded as exp in one of the AVA skill trees, to prevent people from leveling up their AVA skill trees at a very fast rate.
Number 3 would be that the exp you earn through Cyrodiil quests will not increase your Alliance war rank in any way, only your skill trees.

Why i would support this.
Personally i love PvP since the changes to siege weapons and the exp. The exp you get is much better compared to before this change. This exp boost doesn't however contribute to your Alliance war skill trees.

Within the Alliance war skill trees there are skills which are pretty nice, no matter if you're a PvP player or not.
Being able to get these skills would be nice, but having to spend weeks, if not months in Cyrodiil just for 1 or 2 useful skills (for me that would be Guard and Vigor) is just not worth it.

Today i have spend a lot of time doing quests in Cyrodiil, far behind enemy lines, and although i never got killed i have seen a lot of enemies come by (and i'm pretty sure i have been spotted multiple times as well).

Doing these quests brings a certain risk with it, and although they are good for newer player to level up, for people who have reached the max level they have no real benefit.
Give these quests the bonus of contributing to a player's AVA skills would surely please both low as well as high level players.

I'm curious what other people think about this, feel free to voice your opinion.

Not the PvE quests. They do not help your side in the Alliance War, so there is no logical reason for them to give any APs. The AvA quests in Cyrodiil already do contribute APs, which go towards the AvA skills.

Are you talking about the alliance war quests, like Capture BRK? Or the PVE quests like, bring the fish of the day to Hroki in Cropsford?

It doesn't make logical sense if the quests dont add anything for the war effort. If they would add quests that tied in somehow. Maybe a quest to poison an enemy well or how about add quests that give minor bonuses to your alliance "Obtain Kalrogs warhorn and sound it from the battlements to give your alliance 1% damage boost for 30 minutes."

It's a nice idea to get more bodies in cyrodil and lure the in to pvp though.

The PVE quests in Cyrodiil are meant to be a separate experience from the Alliance War because the people of Cyrodiil are neutral and caught in the middle of it. The Alliances are all invaders ravaging the land. The people you meet aren't going to ask you to sabotage another Alliance because there's no difference to any of them in their eyes.

The questlines in Cyrodiil work as they deal with the problems of locals who are trying to get by and don't want to antagonize the invaders when there is no army around to protect them. That's the way it should be. Anything that benefits your Alliance should come as a mission from that Alliance.

Cyrodiil is a PvX zone, and as such different activities reward the player differently. You do PvE? You get PvE rewards. You do PvP? You get PvP rewards.

To grant AP for PvE content in Cyrodiil would be no different than granting it in PvE outside of Cyrodiil.

Now I do wish that there were more reasons for people to be in the various towns and areas of Cyrodiil, but granting AP for the quests there is not a good one. Maybe controlling towns allowed players to buy local militia if they control the town which would be excellent for re-implementing the mercenary system, and a perfect avenue to re-implement forward camps allowing them to only be purchased and placed in these controlled towns.

    Food for thought I suppose.

Yes, would be great to see more quests in Cyrodiil that are somewhat related to the alliance war, like sabotage enemy lumbermill and reduce strength of keep siege weapons, go flag keep X to cut off transit lines, or spread rumors to lower morale of keep NPCs at a particular keep, etc.

Perhaps with dark brotherhood skill line there might be some way to disguise yourself as enemy player. The Pyro DK is a Spy!
