Interacting with the environment

ESO has come a long way since launch and sometime it's worth taking a while to step back and just appreciate how wonderful and detailed the world is. I love the way to can see objects in the environment and take them - it feels very immersive. I love finding a hunter's camp in the wilds, seeing a couple of rabbits hanging and being able to take them, or a bunch of grapes in a bowl.

This started with with patch 1.2.3 and has greatly benefitted from patch 1.6 with the Provisioning revision and Justice System part 1.

That said there are a few things that still need to be fixed, that niggle when everything else is now so good.

First are the fishing camps. Most of these (and most docks) have a rack of fish object, yet the fish on these are not interactable unlike all the various meat and vegetable items.

Secondly, the white items that were introduced in 1.2.3 when picking up items from weapon racks, armor racks, and even containers. When they were introduced because there was no penalty to taking them they were made worthless - but now with the justice system (and the risk involved in stealing) they should be changed to have some value, and either made a normal item, or changed to a token (stolen loot object). Be careful though that they need to be kept at the moment as some pieces are needed to earn the achievement for being caught wearing all stolen armor.

    Sitable chairs.
    Climbable ladders.
    Layable beds and bedrolls.

I agree about the value of white items, but it shouldn't be much and mobs should drop the armor they are wearing... and they should not have that armor if we take it from their dead body.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

I hope this doesn't happen, imagine all the gold/item farming that could take place when it comes to items. It would completely break the economy which I hope they improve with a cross faction auction house. I do agree on everything else though.

Make the armor drops junk armor. White items. Worthless... or worth very little.

They are 0 gold items that can still be used and upgraded...

That being said, they are launderable items that cost you 0 gold to launder, yet still count towards increasing your line (separate from fencing items).

I was thinking to keep it as white/grey - but it could be Rusty armor (armor value zero or very low), ceremonial armor (worth something but no usable as armor), etc. other items such as jewellery could be flagged as costume jewellery and only for sale to fence.

Not sure what you mean here.
They were not worthless before and they still are not. They could/can be used to advance your skills.

By worthless I meant they sold for zero and that they were worth very little inspiration. Yes they gave some, and of course you could wield/wear them but they are vastly inferior to other items.

I also find many of these objects to have a value of 0 gold, but yesterday all of the items from inside the crafting workshops in Craglorn all had gold values, so it may be that this is in the process of changing.

I like the fish idea and such but the junk armor? Nty, don't need even more worthless garbage items clogging up inventory.
Would be alright if they make it an opt in/out or maybe limit it to the newbie areas for your crafting leveling.

True. How ever I think I read some where, that the whole idea of these items in the world, for the most part, were for when you needed a sword or gear that was not broken and in need of repair. You could grab one of these and make it back to town or out of the current dungeon.

I'm still not sure if you are against the changes to the items now. Do you want them to be still worth zero? They sold for nothing before because you just picked them up. Now, you have to break the law and get away with it.

@bosmern , or some crafty witch poisoned or cursed them, knowing full well that someone would be greedy and go for the easy prey.

Last night, i was gathering up an alchemy resource in Stormhaven when a deer near me groaned and fell over, with an arrow sticking out of it. This guy was crouching near a tree, and I never saw him until he stood up and moved over to the deer, then bends down and starts cleaning it. Hunter, level 17. Coolest thing I've seen in this game.
