I think having homes in the starter islands would also be a good idea. Hardly anyone levels through them when they start a character anyways these days. I would hate for them to just go to waste.

I want the Imperial City, or the entire city of Mournhold, or perhaps the city of Davon's Watch. The technology exists. There is no reason why we should be content to just have a simple dwelling in a city. Give us the entire city or nothing at all I say. In fact, I will take all of these cities. Make it happen!
We can organize our own roleplaying events far from prying eyes, invite our friends over and have custom PvP battles just for fun in our little towns. Perhaps even roleplay driven battles.
We should have gardens where we can grow our own provisioning materials just like the Hearthfire expansion to Skyrim and we should have our own crafting stations fully stocked with vendor NPC's. We should have our own taverns with bards and NPC's selling drinks and saying annoying things as we walk in. Things that recognize us a the town hero and such. We should have our own herald who follows us around in our little town announcing our presence and spreading word of our great deeds.
Okay, I'm going to lay off the caffeine for the rest of the day now I think.

I am a giant floating eyeball. In it you see your reflection. You become me, I am you. We are one. This post was informative. It was awesome. Look at the eyeball. You agree. You a.g.r.e.e. Now you exist only in perfect agreement and harmony. The eyeball so commands you. If anyone questions, you do not recall any specific details. You just walk away. I am a giant floating eyeball, and nobody will believe you anyways.
