Why do I keep getting DCed?

I keep getting DC'ed... I just walk and do quest.. then after a while a high amount of unuusal lag occurs... then bam I go to this window





it says I keep spamming but all I do is walk around .... somebody obviously dropped the ball with one of their functions to detect such a thing...

I'm not saying I have the answer for you, but can you give a little more info on where you were, what you were doing, etc.?

This way those who might have an answer for you will have an easier time in giving an explanation.

• What zone they were in when the error happened
• If they were in a particular cave or dungeon
• What they were doing (crafting, battling, etc.)

They really need to surface that post somewhere other than the obscure help forum since no one actually looks there for help anyway.

Wow didn't see this ok let me go back online and tell them about it. I was going to try and catch video as well.

This error message about message limits is a rather generic response to the game kicking you out for some reason. Just close the client, close the launcher, reopen the launcher then the client then log back in.

Note some addons do generate messages and those can cause the servers to think your doing something you should not. However most add on authors are aware of this and take steps to make sure their addons don't trigger too many messages. But if you add or change your addons and start seeing this message more often, then look at the last addons you changed or updated or added as those may be the culprit.

Not really getting DC'd but every time I do a story quest, like the first manamarco encounter and this happened somewhere else yesterday, oh ya the firsthold thing.

Manamarco does his speech send Abner away then bang loading screen of death, happened with estre yesterday got to her she said something Loading screen of death, end up logging out, logging back in then it all works

happenin' to me today... just standing not doing anything... and no error message, just get dc'd back out to the log in page. blah.

I have not been DCing, but ever since I came back along with F2P, the game client has crashed several times and brought up the "what were you doing when the game crashed" prompt. Occasionally it happened like 3 times per 10 minutes. I don't know whats causing it, but alt-tabbing to windows may have something to do with it.
