Question about DPS

I run with a decent build but do not have much to gauge it off of.
I am looking to know what is a decent DPS amount to deal to a trials boss. Not mobs- i feel that number is larger for no reason.

I am a sorc. I use entropy for the spell damage increase and the surge for the spell power increase.
please let me know if there is like an "Average" or "acceptable" amount thanks!

8k would be entry level. It would be enough DPS for a guild to get through AA and Hel Ra.
For hard modes and SO you want to be more like 10k dps. For high end guilds you want to be reaching 12k dps. For hardcore end game guilds you want 13k+ more like 15k+ depending how extreme the guild is.

6k if you equalize your DPS (use 15 to 10 second update intervals when killing mammoths or something high level). That will balance you out for sustained dps. you should be able to do that when low on resources. Also try and makes sure you have 20k health or so to survive any one shots.

Nope.... they both provide the major sorcery buff which does not stack. You only need to use one if its the buff you are after.

Radiant Destruction is not so powerful as everyone says. And it will be nerfed inevitably.

Sorc dps is fine, its pretty easy to reach 10k sustained dps without any pets.

If you dont have Valkyn Skoria and/or Master FIre staff you could use: 4x Martial knowledge, 2x Torug's Pact, 2x Cyrodiil's Light and 3x Adroitness to get +2.5k spell damage (with major sorcery buff). If you use 3x gold reduce magicka cost glyphs on jewelry you will have no problems sustaining your dps. It all comes down to practicing your rotations but 9k should be possible within a week.
