If you are tired of dying allot try the 2 pieces of heavy, and use sets that either increase health or physical resistance until you get closer to the max vet 12+, personally I feel like you where I want to be able to wear all crafted armor/weapons until the end game where I might switch to 2 piece monster set 1 set of 5 crafted and 3 pieces of something else (accessories armor or weapons mixed). but if you want survivability try sets crafting sets such as:

Death's Wind
Night's Silence
Ashen Grip <- often recommended
Hist Bark
Song of Lamae

but regardless of what extra set you choose I really recommend 5 pc Hunding's Rage if DPS is your end game regardless of what you choose for all your other pieces crafted or not.

Another honorable mention would be Night Mother's Gaze, but it'll only increase dps a little more and really do nothing for survivability, like allot of people say doesn't matter what your dps is if you're dead.

I personally will be going 5H 2M in IC patch. The Armour will be great with a certain new set that only come's in heavy. I loose some of my damage/crit but i don't really need resource's with Siphoning Attack's now. Sustain is just more fun, I'll be tanking in Veil Of Blade's and be unstoppable
