Facial lighting issue with tier 2 Breton hood

I haven't tried every piece of head gear, but so far I only have this problem with lvl 16-24 Breton hoods. I made a few and sent them to my other characters and it does persist on other characters/races. Whenever I wear the Breton hood it looks like my face is stitched together and my head has been sewn on after a beheading :s .

The problem arose after updating Windows and my Nvidia driver. I immediately rolled back those updates (clean install for Nvidia), but no change. I also used repair at the launcher to no avail.
Has anyone dealt with this before and know a fix?

Update
After a clean install of my OS and ESO and some testing, I've found that the sole perpetrator is Ambient Occlusion. When disabled, there are no visual glitches on my character, but the game looks like ***. So I'll be leaving it enabled and just avoid Breton head gear (I don't like the mask on higher tier hoods anyway.)
