Why are we still having to deal with the clunky console interface in Tamriel Unlimited?

I understand that the original vision of this game was to have the console version be a direct port of the PC version into console.
I understand you guys wrote the control code to make things easier for console users.

BUT YOU CAME UP WITH A NEW INTERFACE FOR THE CONSOLE ANYWAY.

When I read stuff like this in the patch notes:
To purchase an item, hover your mouse over the desired item and press E. You will need to confirm the purchase at the subsequent window.

You guys developed a new system, the crown store. Why didnt you AT LEAST make it so it was PC interface, (you know, double click instead of having to wander the keyboard to hit a key after using your mouse to select it).

You spent all that time developing a friendly version for console, WAY OUT IN JUNE. Why didnt you use the same amount of time to make the CURRENT GAME PC friendly? The stupid "Q" interface is maddening if you need to change out one of the slots in combat. Say you want a lightning treb and its not on your bar. You go into inventory and try to put it on. Because you are in combat, the screen refreshes to the top, meaning it takes 5-7 tries to get said lightning ballista on your bar. Then of course, its not selected, just avail, so you have to hold down "Q" and use your mouse to hunt for it. By that time, you dont need a lightning ballista, you need a magic pot because you had to fight hand to hand and heal others. Oh, wait.. that is yet another hold the dang "Q" button and HOPE you hit the right pot while trying to fight off the guys trying to kill you. What part of that sounds easy or fun?

Ok.. sorry. had to get it out of my system.
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
Where is new content? Sigh.

+1 There are games 10+ years old with better UI than ESO ....that pretty much tells you everything. Without player created addons for the UI I doubt as many people would even be playing.

The interface was designed for controller support. They just haven't gotten around to adding that in yet for the PC. It's a very good interface for what it was designed for however. I play with XPadder and it I really enjoy the current interface.

Could be worse, I played Dragon Age Inquisition with mouse and keyboard recently.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

FFXI was designed in 2000/2001 initially only for the PS2 yet its UI, klunky as it may viewed by some today, is still superior on a PC than ESO's is: a UI which Square Enix have always ensured was common across platforms so as not to give one platform an 'edge' over the others.

SE found a console-friendly way to provide for 20 skills to be available at a time as well as the necessary on-screen indications of damage/health/buffs/debuffs/etc. that are so woefully lacking in ESO.

In fact, in some respects the UI for Morrowind was more sophisticated than ESO's even though it provided even fewer active skills than ESO.

    Irony on:
It's unobtrusive not clunky you guys just don't get it.
    Irony off.

It's so weird to have a console optimized interface on a PC especially when console and PC players can't play together...
So there's no need to create an even ground that noone is at an advantage in PvP.
Which, if you take a look at the classes is no even ground anyway...

PC is for testing; consoles are for profit.

That's why their design priorities are what they are.

It's leagues better than Skyrim in the PC UI department.

They don't care about PC players anymore. They are going for the console or bust. PC is just extra now that beta is coming to a close with the console launch -- as @squidgod2000b14_ESO said.
