Loader tray icon doesn't go away after close

I've noticed since as far back as I can remember that when I close the loader the icon for it stays in the tray forever until I run my mouse cursor over it. Not a game breaking issue but I was curious if that's normal for everyone or is something funky on my setup?

    The launcher looks like a (passworded, inno setup?) SFX Zip archive, wrapped around a bunch of javascript files, images, etc, which suggests there's an 886kb wrapper of third party stuff that can't be controlled, which is the likely source of the bug.

    Anyway, there's a long-time bug in Windows (which allegedly can't ever be resolved for back-compat reasons), where stuff that exits improperly won't get its notification tray icon auto-removed.

    This suggests that the launcher is closing improperly (being killed) rather than closing gracefully.

    This is strongly supported by the last line in the log, which is:

    "killTheLauncher" makes it sound like it's killing, yup.

    For all I know, this might actually be required, the way the launcher is architected: there might be no way provided to ask it to to cleanly detach and close itself, at least not without also closing its child (the game itself). So perhaps killing it is the only way.

    And perhaps, whatever part that is killing it (the JS scripts?) also does not have access to ask the launcher to remove its notification icon from the notification tray? In which case, this bug is unlikely to be fixable without a complete rewrite of the launcher.

    But if it can ask for an icon removal, from within the JS sandbox, then it should probably be doing that just before it kills the launcher on line 62 of interoptestexample.js.

    I have seen multiple previous reports of this issue. There was mention of ZoS looking into it back in December 2014, if not earlier.

    It's simply not a high priority issue, and is purely cosmetic, as far as we know (i.e. no impact).

    This has happened to me since launch!

    If i never mouse over them in the icon tray there can be so many they reach across most of the bottom of my screen upon expanding the tray lol. It is very odd but I never saw any other posts or comments about it either.

    I get this all the time especially when I'm using alt's to unload my bank (logging off and on many times). I've seen as many of ten icons in my taskbar. Not a real big issue as long as it's not using ten times the memory resources i suppose.
