Legerdemain Items - Unbind or Make Quests

Why are the Legerdemain stolen items Bind on Pickup? I ask because we (one of our guilds) was planning on offering prizes -- or even offering a pool where players bought in for 1k gold each -- to the first person to find a certain set of stolen items. It was a fun way to include the stolen items into fundraising and make the new Legerdemain skill line a little more exciting.

Example: 40 people buy in for 1k ea. Half is the payoff, and the other half is the guild's cut. The job is to find six stolen items for a local collector of ivory; each item must have the word "ivory" in the description or the title. Payoff is 20k to the first person to mail them in. Obviously nobody is getting any XP for doing this, but the idea quickly became moot when we realized almost all of the items are BoP. Why?? Why would you need to keep people from trading these items?

Which brings us to issue number two. Are you ever planning on making any quests that involve the general criminal world and Legerd skills? It would be nice if there were some sort of daily quests found in the Outlaw Refuge that granted experience points while using your Legerdemain skills to collect certain items, rough up an NPC, etc. These activities would of course carry the risk of getting a bounty, but at least there would be some sort of quests associated with the new skill line and the entire underground world that you created.

Either that, or please unbind the items so we can do something with them ourselves.

I would love to see laundered items be unbound. Moreover, these items could go into a "Theft Trophy" collection with commons (green), uncommons (blue), rares (purple) and "uniques" (gold). Zenimax could then add some nice achievements to the collection, much like the current monster trophy collection has.

Unbound thieves' trophys would create a good player-based market and this again would add more flair to the whole thing. The current process of fencing/laundering items is just too uninspiring.
    ...und Gallileo dreht sich doch!
