What do you want the players to do?

I am just curious what you want us to do concerning xp.

I have done Cadwell's Gold. It gave me the most xp.

Why, oh why, would I want to repeat all of those quests? Is it seriously expected that we play through these quests over and over again on alts in order to get xp?

Do you realize that in other games, people run dungeons or fight in the open-world, or even pvp, for experience?

Why do you have 3 out of 4 options nerfed? I totally do not understand the mentality.

I have been a staunch supporter of the game but now that I am at max level and contemplating alts just so I can get xp by going through the quests again, I am wondering why?

Please help me continue to give you guys money to support the game.

Also here is some food for thought -

If you removed the nerfs to xp, and actually made it so that dungeons, group dungeons, public dungeons, etc, actually were worthwhile to do, I think it would level the playing field by giving all people access to the same ability to get xp on multiple characters.

    I support this.

I actually skip all conversations with npc' in Cads gold silver, just so i can play them on alt...hate that i have to go to AD and DC as a Pact hero and bassically ruining a "lore-fun" for my alts

In an ideal world couldn't we do the following?

    The grinders grind their mobs.
The dungeon people do their dungeons.
    The pvpers do their pvp.

Instead we have enforced story mode that you have to do over and over on alts?

I do not see this as sustainable.

I have been asking the same question in another thread. There are some questionable group activities you can do (group grind though mostly nerfed now or vet dungeons if you have a great group that can plow through them quickly and don't have to rely on PUGs or the LFG tool) but there is literally nothing for solo play if you have completed Silver/Gold. It's especially disheartening for those of us with more than one max vet character. I have already run all Silver/Gold twice (and it only counted as once) so the prospect of doing it a third time as my only XP opportunity is not very appealing.

I totally support this as well. We need the option to create our own ways of leveling and earning XP, even if that just means good ol' fashioned grinding. It's not that the questing is bad, the story and VO is actually some of the best, if not the best in a MMO. But knowing that you're forced down that path, especially with an alt, pretty much sucks.

I cannot even contemplate doing Cadwell's gold more than once.

I do not see how anyone can do that multiple times without getting burnout.

I think if they based all the leveling off of your own faction's areas, and that took you to vr14, then left the other faction areas as additional xp realms, all at vr 14 level, it would be much more enjoyable and worth doing.

That would also mean you could afford to open up alternative means of leveling besides questing, as you could increase dungeon xp to coincide with level 1 through vr 14 all within your faction.

Instead, they count on all faction zones going 1 through vr 14 and have adjusted xp elsewhere to compensate for such an extended length requirement.

Agree with all of the above. I'm doing Cadwell's silver/gold for the second time, but only because it's been over 6 months since I last did it and I've forgotten things. There is some sense of it being new. For the lower level alts, I mostly just skip all the conversations when doing quests and invest time in talking with guildmates and running dungeons or world bosses with them.

It's unfortunate, because people spent a lot of time saying their lines and creating stories, but I just can't keep doing it over and over without tearing out my hair.

100% agree this design is so flawed! I believe it's all a result of the Champ system and here is why:

It's quite clear they don't want us getting champ points quickly. The problem is that Champion Points are gained through regular XP/VP! This means that in order to stop us getting champ points quickly they have to nerf regular XP, thereby negatively affecting players who are simply trying to level up.

Why not give CP it's own form of "XP", similar to the way Veteran XP(VP) and regular XP used to be different. This way ZoS could directly manipulate CP gain to be equal across all activities in game while at the same time give us the options that we used to have, instead of nerfing everything in sight to keep CP gain in check.

Perhaps they're not really interested in what the current player base does, you can stay or you can go, doesn't seem to make much difference to them. Not like they're focused on keeping you subbed anymore. Their focus seems to be on the new players coming with b2p and consoles. Several months down the line when these new players start to find the current content stale, they'll release dlc.

The playerbase should keep moaning about the people who powerlevel and "abuse exploits" so that we all suffer as a result of their childish envy.

When people reached Level 50 within the first week of the game I didn't care because it didn't effect me, but I guess I'm just a minority in that view.

Yes, exactly this. Someone else said it better than me on a different thread, but essentially:

The paid beta is coming to an end. Thank you for testing ESO for Consoles.

Soloed a group quest in Craglorn and was rewarded 29k XP while enlightened. Going to be painful getting my upcoming Alt to VR14 due to the xp nerf. Just getting the allotted 1 CP a day now is quite painful even while doing the things I normally enjoy doing. This is beyond harsh. Used to hate reading about all the negativity on the forums, because I enjoyed this game so much regardless of all its flaws. Can't see what I used to love, because Its a real chore to get that one CP now. Guess I'll be using sub xp bonus and my ring of mara along with xp potions to help take the sting out of CP earning. Feels exactly like what they're pushing and calling it convenience.
