The game has a lot of flaws but it's all we have in terms of new Elder Scrolls content. I've decided to put aside my complains and become a super fanboy. Now I will blindly disregard all criticism of the game and boast about ESO at all opportunities presented.

But seriously though if you look through the flaws, technical limitations and the "wtf" design decisions, there is a gem of a game under there.

its got that charm that i loved in the dragon age series in terms of gameplay, where i can go hours just messing with stuff (despite obvious balance issues) and dream up stuff like this and that to do stuff and dream up ways to coordinate things with other things for hours on end even if im not actually playing it at that point in time.

and it has that lore and feel of a ES game, which i always enjoyed in the way where you run around for hours and hours doing little more than what ever i feel like, for what ever reason i feel like, simply because i feel like doing it.

hell on the PTS on patch day, i was quite enjoying myself just hopping around on the upcoming guar mounts that it passed the time just hopping around in circles for an hour straight.

i mean what other series can have a deep lore and gameplay defined by things as random as going from one map to the other to stick a bucket on a dog. (even if you cant do that kind of interaction in ESO)

and of course there are the people this series attracts... which very much include a number of like minded people who go around putting buckets on heads. previously mentioned patch day shenanigans... i was not the only one doing it, and i know people on live i can mention silly stuff to and they go "oh ya that!" (granted most of the stuff i say and do is so freaking random i myself gave up trying to put reason to it)

now,... Purely as a Elder Scrolls game it definitely fails.. the class system alone fails it. the gameplay is not at all how a Elder Scrolls game should play. its only Elder Scrolls in lore only.

but i generally enjoy the gameplay enough that i can go for hours smiling, and thats the ultimate goal for any video game.

Worst move ever.

To become a diehard fanboy doesn't make a product better, it makes it even worse because you close your eyes and won't recognize real issues.

Even if VI is far away, nobody should worship ESO.

I'm happy. Both with justice system, and with grabbing c-points on my V14, each works as intended. And the latter isn't as bad as I feared with enlightenment anyhow.
