Do you think purple/gold item drop rate from treasure chests needs to be increased?

I used to see chests and think like "meh cba", but now chests give xp towards the new skill line. And when that's up to 10, i'll probably go back to ignoring chests again. The ones in craglorn always seem to give me useless green items. I've never got a purple piece from them.

They are fine. Craglorn ones in particular give you set items geared to your level. That they are green is irrelevant to anyone with the necessary crafting skill to improve them.

Also, you will never run out of soul gems.

The moment the game starts giving purple and gold items from chests w'ell have ever kid under fifteen running around trying to ninja every chest in the game.

Kind of like how we have every kid under fifteen trying to pickpocket and murder every NPC in the game right now with the advent of the thieving system.

"It's new! It's cool! Wanna' be the first to ______ whatever! Don't care how much it impacts everyone else, wanna do, wanna do, wanna do!"

ZOS needs a behavioral scientist on staff, because they really do not have a clue about how people will react to changes to the game.

Chests already grant a nominal amount of XP, a soul gem, some gold, and a weapon/armour which is usually green, but sometimes better. At least that's what you usually get from them. It's not an amazing prize, but it's enough that IMO it's always worth it to grab every chest you see.

Heck, the best way to farm grand soul gems is to go on a run around a vet level starter island for chests. Especially Khenarthii's Roost.

Since when do Chests EVER have a Legendary item in them? I wouldn't want them too either. Epic items already drop regularly in Chests so I see no need for them to be increased at this time.

Hell no. It should be something in the game which is rare and expensive.
