I have spent 2 1/2 months trying to get ESO running on my computer. After 4 re-installs, a factory image reset of my entire computer, countless hours of communication and troubleshooting with customer support and 3 trips to computer repair shops for diagnostics, I don't know what to do anymore. This is very depressing and I want to play the damn game...

Fully understandable, and though I doubt anything I could suggest would magically fix things, I do hope you won't give up and will eventually be able to enjoy the game. :)

Tell us about your computer specs and hardware? Also........whats the problem? I have 3 computers and the game runs on all of them, but it runs best on the best of course......and a little less well on the lessor builds.

Two of my computers are i7 processor and one an i5...... all have dedicated video cards.

I'm running a asus gamers republic g74sx laptop and ESO runs pretty well! It chugs if I turn everything as high as it will go but I pretty much have everything on "high"... no ultras.

So you don't NEED a dedicated videocard to run ESO well.

Ya, that should run the game fairly well........are you streaming wireless? If so, have you tried a direct connection at all?

Edit: Woops........your not the guy with the problems, sorry.

You don't really say what the problem is...

If you've had the hardware manufacturer reimage it and troubleshoot it and still not happy/wont run ESO, try to get a replacement computer under a lemon law. In Australia, I've helped people get replacement gear that was bad from the start.

My son plays eso on his rather low-end laptop and it works "okay" (but it works error free). I play it fine on my i7 and my wife plays it fine on her AMD.

ESO launcher is complete rubbish and needs fixing altogether, maybe they should prioritize that before march 17th

Don't feel too bad. All during beta, my dual-processor Mac Pro would crash the game every five to ten minutes.

For the past several months, the game ran glass-smooth on the Pro, crashing only after around two hours of play, if at all.

    Then they gave us 1.6.

Now the game crashes every five to ten minutes.

Hmmm what does that have to do with the OP's computer issue?

Every computer in my house can successfully use the launcher.

Perhaps the ole "right click, run as administrator" trick will help the original poster?

It may help if the OP would post up their spec, some of us may be able to give useful advice if we knew what we were working with.

I have come to the conclusion it is some type of network error between my machine and the ESO servers. Diagnostics would have caught any hardware issues, and the factory reset should have cleared up anything software related. Am I right in assuming that?

EDIT: And trust me when I say I have searched and attempted all the "fix-tricks". I have yet to find anyone on the internets having the same issue.

The problem is that my entire system freezes either immediately after pressing play on the launcher, or immediately after logging in and the game is "requesting login". I never get to the Character select screen. According to my most recent conversions with customer support, my connection is getting stopped during a hop somewhere in Omaha, Nebraska; whatever that means...
