Are these stats good for PvP now? i just don't know

Normally i used from stealth (as Magicka build)

-> ambush -> concealed weapon - >impale

I could kill people this way or at least get health down to 10-20%

Now i do --> lotus fan (since its the magicka one) -->concealed weapon --> and enemy has 99.95 health.

I just do zero damage with any magicka NB skill

anyone else has problems? What is your setup?

I have 5 pieces seducer and 4 magnus



My Concealed weapon does 4432 magick damage it tells me (with one siphoning skill slotted)

PvP is not fun for me today. I understand people need to relearn, but i die myself in 1 freaking blow (yes i wear light armor)

respec is to expensive, game is not fun today. i should at least do some damage

Something does not sound right. Are you attacking items which have a bubble? Also, more people are using heavy along with the reinforced stat. But, just make sure to use the right moves that use mana. You should be hitting people for 8000-9000 for your ambush and will see a drop in damage since the ambush buff is gone.

You will also need to buff stack too.

I attacked all sorts of people. Not all of them had a bubble. I just don't do any damage. Got food buffs, potions tried everythig.

I like the set, but i don't PvE. My RNG is so bad i play since beta and have never found any purple motif or collection item from mobs. I only like PvP.

Set looks great though. But i doubt that will increase my dps so much i suddenly Pwn.

4432 magick damage from concealed, is that now not good. Why don't they add some more digits for a more dramatic effect like WoW where you could cric for 9 million DPS.

Bolded your problem.... why in seven hecks would you assume you're viable now? The game is a completely different game. You were able to get to max damage because of the soft cap system, that doesn't exist anymore, scaling is completely different. You are running a build meant to maintain magicka not do damage so you hit like a wet noodle. You literally answered your own question just thought it was evidence for the other.

I got my VR14 Martial Knowledge from Cyrodiil.

I can't speak about nightblades but I will speak as a Sorc and trying to spread yourself in too many areas will ensure you suck. Specialization and Min/maxing is the way to go now, moreso than ever.

I have never played a NB so I cannot comment on those skills. That being said, you have dumped plenty of points into Magicka which increases the amount of damage from spells. Both of your armor sets add even more Magicka and one of them adds Spell Damage which is the other primary contributor to increasing your damage from Magicka-based class skills. Assuming you have three pieces of jewelry equipped and the appropriate enchants on your gear, you should be doing respectable damage with Magicka skills, especially if you have a food buff included.

You might try removing and re-equipping your gear as I have heard some strange reports of deaths doing weird things. You might want to review your class and armor passive skills just to be sure everything is activated. You should review your Champion Points to make sure you have applied them to the appropriate areas, such as the one that increases your damage with magical attacks.

Even if everything is fine with you gear, skills and CPs, players wearing heavy armor or popping extra protection like Immovable or Bone Shield are going to take less damage than what you might think. You might seek out advice from a guild mate or someone in zone chat for their experience as a Magicka based NB. There is also the black hole of /bug which you can pursue.

If you are interested in ganking you can always try medium armor + bow with max stamina.

Lethal Arrow > Ambush > Suprise attack > Killers blade. You can get all 4 to hit within 1.8 seconds. You need to be careful which people you target though.

I myself haven't done much pvp on live yet though since I'm too busy getting champion points in PVE (cool system zos). Sorry I can't be much more help.

Your spell damage looks very low for a magika user. I'm only 100 spell damage lower as a stamina NB. Your magika looks fine and magika rec if fine. The big problem is your spell damage imo

I posted the damage my concelaed weapon does so i hoped someone could tell me if thats good/not good damage (4432 magick damage)

I understand spell damage adds to more damage, but so does more magicka (hence my choice of armor pre 1.6. I had spell damage on my jewels.)
I also understand with the caps gone I should focus on one area. all my armor pieces add to magicka and i distrubuted my points to get (in PvP) around 22k health and 25 magicka.

So guess i need to go for more spell damage armorsets and less magicka/regen armor sets.

Well i got a better idea when i come home. I still have a full set of golden hunding rage and ashen grip. Add my golden bow and 2 handen weapon (or DW) and my weapon damage jewels and im all set. and i go all stamina. Maybe not the best race for stamina build, but i don't care anymore.

and i drop vampire. (which was my plan for 1.6 already)

As a magicka NB your concealed weapon from stealth should be hitting on light armored targets at around 15-16k
Scale accordingly for other armor/resist levels.

Also, for a ganker you should be sitting closer to 30k+ magicka. Your spell damage is abysmally low. You should also be sitting near 2.2-2.5k minimum.

Your stats are more what someone who wants to run more of a tanky type build should be.

Your crit seems about 10% lower than it should aswell.

What jewelry sets are you wearing? And as others have mentioned Martial Way set is really nice for this kind of build now, and is fairly easy to get with a bit of time investment.

As a final note, I cannot stress the use of Mark Target enough, post 1.6. It no longer debuffs the user and reduces both armor and spell resists by 5100.

** Forgot to mention- Drop Lotus Fan, in favor of Teleport Strike ( Basically keep it un-morphed for more burst) It does the same damage as Ambush does for stamina users with the same stats and only lacks the bonus damage to next hit. Much better than a snare+dot.

Thanks. I got a tip from someone who said i had to unequip and equip my armor/weapons as it might be a bug. I'll look into it. for jeweldry i wear V14 rings light of cyyrodil. I enchanted both with gold rune of spell damage. Same for necklace which adds magicka regen and enchanted for spell damage. 4432 concealed weapon does seem low then yes. So it might be a bug then.

also i already maxed ambush, but since it was stamina now i went lotus. Can't say i liked lotus. So the unmorphed variant will do fine then. thanks for the tip.

I must admit i like 1.6 (justice system, new skills, champion tree which will take me 100 years to fill). but i always have hard time to adapt. I surivived the CU of SWG and also the NGE. But it's always difficult for me to adapt and relearn when i am settled in. But i wil be in a month or so.

Couple things to check. (after tested my VR14 NB on PST)

1. Spell Damage Glyphs got nerfed (i don't believe this was changed in live version). So if you were running SD glyphs on jewlery. They are are "worthless". Magic regen or Magic reduct is the way to go..in 1.6

2. Peel away armor - the new meta is Med / Heavy (some pieces) - There is strong move to these types of armor.

If you are sneak attacking. You should be adding in Marked Target (pop it right before you hit ambush/Fan), Ransack (S+B), and run Amor reduct set (think its Night Mothers). If you combine any one of these (or all)... you should be good to go.

Lastly. Remember. Fear is your Friend. Now that people can't block fear (or fear blocking). Pop this after your intiial attack.
If they break it, hit them with Soul Teather. If not, do another attack cycle.

I had the exact same prob as the OP. Things have gotten slightly better using umorphed Teleport Strike but my melee attacks still hit like wet noodles.

Magicka is 23k/26K with second bar destro
Health is 20k in Cryo
Stam is 12k

Spell Power 1900 and about 2200 with Major Sorcery Active. Not sure why I don't get the full 20%
Spell Crit is a pathetic 29%

5 Destruction Mastery for sp and spell crit
2 Stygian/2 stygian daggers for spell power, etc. been messing around with 5 stygian but lose the 5 light bonus
2 Cyrodiils Light rings
Spell Power necklace
Main is DW/Alt Bar is Destruction Staff for range, escape

Not stealthed, No Major Sorcery 3800 ish Teleport Strike, 4800 ish Concealed Weapon

I would love to be doing this. Even with Stygian after a shadowy disguise I am not seeing anywhere close to this. More like 8k

I've seen comments that Concealed Weapon is being treated as a spell so the stealth stun and crit is gone. I still see a crit I think but definitely no stun in PvP. I'm usually just getting an off balance.

So big question. Are Teleport Strike and Concealed still getting counted as melee for stealth crit and stun?

I would love to know how you do this. I still need 12k stam for dodging, cc break etc.

As far as spell crit goes. I experimented with inner light but it takes up way too many slots imho.

I am having to pick between mark target and cripple and it is a tough choice. Cripple gives you the speed now to get away if things go badly. Although I can see a nerf for this coming.

Even with Mark Target I still have problems hitting like before. Shield stacking is even worse now.

ditch lotus, get ambush back, get some more stam since that'll be your big opener and you'll need more stam for blocking/dodging. lotus is trash for ganking, it's better for using as a gap closer if you like to power-plow into groups. i'd consider losing seducer set as well since you've got those breton passives and you can use reduce costs glyphs/put CP into reduce costs. find an armor set with a bit more 'umph' to your hits.
