Best strategy to deal with a large patch

I decided to take this as an opportunity to clean up my installation of ESO.
I uninstalled the old one, defragged my hard drive, installed all windows updates, rebooted and am downloading a nice, clean, fresh installation of the game.
No launcher errors. Nothing to get confused or overwritten.
I figure if I tried the patch, got a manifest error and had to re-download most of the content anyway, I might as well bite the bullet up front and start with a solid foundation.

[Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.

✭✭✭Yeah sure, just free up 70-80gb of hard drive space for the 35-40gb fresh install and redownload 35-40gb in bandwidth usage...
No problem at all....

Sandmanninja✭✭✭✭<shrug> I've seen a lot of posts saying "launcher error", just thought I'd advise of what I consider to be the safest, most thorough way to install the game fresh.
And if I did say, "fresh install", there will be those that have no idea what I'm talking about.
Forgive me for taking up a few lines of forum space to spell it out.
Once again: if you are concerned you'll get a launcher error and be forced to re-download multiple times, downloading fresh is (ultimately) quicker.
I'm in Australia and have a quota of 500gigs a month. I can only imagine people in the States having no quota limitation. Where are the people from that are complaining of quota limitations?[Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.

Kronosphere✭✭✭✭I got up at 6 in the morning.. started the download, worked an 8 hour shifter from 7. just got home and its at 73%.. wtf. my net isnt amazing, 450-600mb/s on average. and now im worried after all this crap ill get the error ive been reading about and have to do it all again..~House Indoril~

Sandmanninja✭✭✭✭<nods> I have gotten that manifest error before and ultimately had to re-download the entire client.
That's why I did it the way I described above.
If you get some weird errors and can't get it to work, try the above.

deleted221205-002626✭✭✭✭✭Well thats my worry.. Ive alrdy used up 65% of my mothly imternet today downloading this update twice with a repair and am still having the error... Another download is gonna pit me ove my cap with extra costs and im about 99% certain it will not fix my problem... A full install gonna put me wayyy over n cost me hundreds waiting another day while it downloads.. Im thinkin shut it down... Uninstalll... Pour a glass of wine n watch some netflix while game searching
