It's a bit disheartening to get into the new update and discover that all of your chars have 0 attributes and 0 skills that are set in place. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I think there might be a better method of allowing the player to reformulate character build after all of the adjustments that have been made.
Why not leave all of the points in place, but allow the player to make adjustments for a certain period of game time, say 20 hours. Right now, I have screenshots for all of my characters for every class and weapon ability that they have been using, but even so, I have very little sense of the interplay of the new abilities, even though I did spend some time on PTS. By allowing the points to be adjustable for a period of game time, the player has a limited opportunity to get a "feel" for how things work, and a sense of what kind of point allocation will lead to the type of game play he's trying to achieve.
The conscientious player right now has to figure out how each ability has changed, what resources does it tap into, and how it synergizes with other abilities and attributes. To complicate things even further, one has to consider the influence of champion points and the way numerical values have been scaled upwards.
For future updates, leave the points in place and let the player play and adjust. When the allotted game time expires for adjustments, the points are locked in place and the player would have to go through normal channels for respecs.
