My Naked Breton Sorcerer

So...my main is a Breton Sorcerer who is a day away from V5. Bretons have a wonderful passive tree focused on their "light armor affinity".

Is anyone in the same boat? With the Sorc nerf and the Light Armor destruction, what are you thinking of putting on your toon tonight? Medium armor? Heavy? Is there a light armor build that won't get me killed immediately in every dungeon fight?

Serious questions. Thanks.

5 Light/ 2 Heavy. Even without the Undaunted passives, this is a pretty good mix now. Combine heavy chest and legs with a reasonable amount of hit points and you can at least avoid most one-shots, even with your ward down. Occasionally, you'll still get sniped off your mount and die before you can react, but NB's gotta earn a living, too ;)

Whenever possible, keep Conjured Ward up. It's good.

(for reference, my main is also a Breton sorc, and I've done a fair bit of testing and thinking about this)

I said it in another thread, I personally think that sorcerers were easy mode unless you didn't use pets, then it was hard mode.

I am very interested in seeing how the paper nerfs/buffs actually translate into actual live (not PTS) gameplay before I start getting excited or start whining.
As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

    ...

You mean the passive that lets Bretons level-up the Light Armour skill line slightly more quickly than other races?

Did you get all the way to v5 without maxing out the line already or something?

Thanks for the tips @Snit. Interested in other comments too. @Samadhi, no I have it maxed but there we have bonuses in the passive tree based on the number of pieces of light armor equipped. I never really thought of using any different armor as a Breton due to these bonuses.

Every race has a bonus to learning something. They only matter in the short term. You'll max any skill that interests you in time ;)

    No we don't.

My Breton gets Max Magicka, Spell Cost Reduction, and Spell Resistance.

None of these passives provide bonuses based on pieces of Light Armour equipped; only the Light Armour tree itself has that stipulation.

Personally use the bonus to Spell Cost Reduction and Spell Resistance to make my Breton a Magicka-Focused Tank with Heavy.

Ah you may be right @Samadhi. I guess I will have to switch and get killed for awhile. I've done a lot of work stockpiling expensive mats and building out clothing skills etc. A lot of time has gone into my light armor plans. But maybe I will simply move on and try something else. Anyone wanna buy some dreugh wax? Ha.
