Explorer's Pack Question

I'm interested in getting the explorer's pack so I can roll a Dunmer DK in AD because of the super tasty fire damage. Problem is I originally purchased the Imperial Edition.

I'm wondering is it possible to have the Explorer's Edition at this time and not affect the Imperial edition I'm currently running?

In other words, I've got an imperial and I'd like to keep him but start a dunmer DK (AD) alt also.

The Explorer's Pack just adds additional options. It's not considered a full game version. So yes, you will be able to apply the Explorer's Pack to your Imperial Version.

However, the Explorer's Pack is not (officially) available anymore, since it was a preorder bonus.

Just search on Amazon or G2A gaming. It's still circulating. Last time I saw it was like $3 USD or around that much.

Hmm. It is my understanding that these $3 USD codes are only for the steam version of the game. I've got the original MAC version released at launch. Do you know if they are compatible? I've seen conflicting information from my googling.

An explorer pack code can be applied to any type of account as far as I know. Obviously you have to redeem the code in your account management page.

So this was the message stickied on the G2A.com page:

"This product requires you to have The Elder Scrolls Online Standard Version CD-KEY GLOBAL activated on your The Elder Scrolls Online account in order to play. In order to activate this product, an Elder Scrolls Online account is required (You can register is HERE). You can redeem your code in the Redeem Code section of your account panel. Warning! This product may be impossible to activate along side Imperial Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online due to content conflict"

Could @ZOS please chime in and confirm if redeeming an explorer's pack code will erase my imperial content or simply not be possible at all?

I'd really like to have access to the dunmer race but play with my guildies in AD. Maybe you can comment on if this option will be made available to purchase from the store as the imperial edition is?

I'm wondering if this is because ZOS changed the Imperial Edition product coding from pre-order after release.

Before launch the Imperial Edition was packaged with the Explorer's Pack, my Billing History doesn't mention the EP but I do have it. I wonder if the product coding for the Imp. Ed. after release was changed so as to remove the entitlement to the EP?

This page is for the original PS4 pre-order but it was the same package back then, it was posted on a PS4 forum by a ZOS CM who was (is?) on ZOS forums:

I now don't understand what the EP codes are for since they were for pre-ordering, I guess it was for boxed pre-orders when ZOS didn't want to have special pre-order boxes.

If you have a valid Explorer's Pack code, it can be redeemed alongside an Imperial Edition of the game without any issues. Please bear in mind that the Explorer's Pack is not available through our official website, and was the pre-order bonus for the game.
