what will happen to what I've paid for?

I have decided to stop the automatic renewal of my subscription. What happens to the existing game time I have already paid for?

As of March 17 you will be able to play again for free, since you have already purchased the game. If your sub runs past March 17, I believe you will also receive whatever crowns you are entitled to at that time.

Hey @Dru1076‌! As @Ysne58‌ mentioned, you can play ESO again when Tamriel Unlimited releases on March 17 (and we hope you will!). As for any remaining time on your account, you will still be able to play ESO for the days remaining on your account (you can check how long you have left by logging into account.elderscrollsonline.com).

I must admit, I have been enjoying the game. I was on the fence about keeping my subscription, but having discovered i am not loyal enough to get the Senche Mount everyone has been going on about, I feel a bit bitter that I arrived in time to pay a subscription fee to play, but not in time for this to mean a thing post TU. I wish you had some sort of incentive for those who got here in time to pay subscription fees, but not in time to have that earn any rewards. I am all for exclusive content...but in contradiction I loathe being excluded.

You may still qualify for the 3 and 6 month rewards: High Hrothgar Wraith and Loyal Dwarven Sphere. I don't know if those will still be awarded after the switch to Tamriel Unlimited though.
