I seem to be getting everything I wanted in the coming 1.6 update

How about all of you?

Its kinda spooky actually.

The Guar Mount is incredible. I was curious how they would pull it off but they did it and its amazing. More fun than the boring old horse, plus I think it does 'parkour' better.

The changes to the sorcerer class, namely the summoning skills favor EXACTLY into the kind of character I want to create. A sort of pet based healing staff user. I hated how the summons would drain a substantial amount of Magicka, getting in the way of my heal spam. Plus, I love using the Daedric Curse, that explosion never gets old, especially on my 5.1 audio setup.

Speaking of which, the ever improving audio is also utterly delightful. The player character voice seems less abrasive, in general the audio is less trebley than before and has more room to breath.

As such, other changes such as the armor skills and the refinement of heavy amor to be more focused toward HP has made me very happy because its exactly how I thought it should have worked given the other two armors were plainly in bias toward the other primary stats.

The changes to MageLight and its transformations is a big deal to me because now one skill isn't obviously worse than the other, but now pretty much completely different in terms of utility. (defensive or attackish)

And it seems that I can create fatter argonians than before. It might be a personal delusion, but I swear there is a difference....

But that could also be due to the fact that the characters now have better posture in the animations than before, no longer hunched over like their armor was made of thin cloth, now their posing giving weight and value to the garbs they wear, heavy armor or not.

The combative poses and attacks as well having a certain physical 'UMPH' now, especially in first person view in which some weapons involve both your character's hands. Especially in first person view. Gone are the days of that Goofy wiggle waggle of staves, now replaced by actual involved casting of sorts in which feels like your character's whole body is reaching out to lash the foes with lighting. The changes to the sword and shield though are probably the best of the bunch.

But, how about all of you? Did you get everything you wanted?

The only thing now I could want is Spellcrafting as per shown a long while ago. I want more summons :smiling_imp:

1.6 is indeed a good update. Hopefully it helps ESO:TU launch on the right foot.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Overall I am looking forward to it. I am not sure about every change but let's see... ZOS is trying to attract and keep more players as well as give them incentives to keep subscribing.. so while they may not be showing all of their cards, I doubt they are just trying to make a quick buck and lose a bunch of dedicated fans & customers.

It's nice to see a positive post... and yes those changes IMO are good ones but nothing will please everyone. Except maybe Sweetrolls.... but that's a given.

I wasn't terribly impressed with how abrupt the announcement came with the Tamriel Unlimited stuff and if we're being honest felt a bit disregarded. I'm still a bit leery about anything that they say but Update 6 is pretty awesome. I'm excited to see if they've given the builds as much flexibility/viability as intended but so far looks good.

The new staff animations are awesome, the new version of inferno is double awesome (particularly when paired with magelight) more so in terms of how "cool" it looks but the extra crit is always nice.

I just saw today how the guar looks with the mount armor on and I'm slightly ashamed at how exciting that was for me.

While I am disappointed with some of the changes I think they will make sense as the update has time to breath and we start to see new build metas coalesce.
"It is a time of strife and unrest. Armies of revenants and dark spirits manifest in every corner of Tamriel. Winters grow colder and crops fail. Mystics are plagued by nightmares and portents of doom."

Those seem to be legitimate critiques. They favor his play style and what he wants out of the game. Granted, those who want better PvP balance, less crashing in Cyrodiil, or better PvE end game content are left wanting. But that's OK, the charcter voices are less trebley, that definitely warrants a thumbs up from the player community.

i probably wouldn't phrase it like that, but I couldn't agree more

I don't know why this is of so much concern. Does the lore make the game more fun to play?

I don't give a hoot about PVP or endgame content because I have never made it to 'Endgame' in an MMO before. (unless you count Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or Fantasy Life on the 3DS)

And even then it was just merely icing on the proverbial cake.

    Good for you OP,

I need to make a new build thanks to things like Ambush and Killer's Blade going from magika to stamina. So yeah, not all of us in in the same boat as you.

That's perfectly fine. ZOS seems to be migrating their target audience from people who want to play a game to people who like shiney things and monotonous, repetitive activity. I don't really blame them, they're simply targeting the market they can reach. Someone else will have to target the other market, ZOS seems to have given up any hope of producing content for them.

Ya its been theorycrafting all the way since the announcements. Very bummed cinder storm's miss chance was removed and fiery grip is still bizarre. I believe joejudas isn't happy with the dk changes (we needed some tweaking I am eager to try out some stamina builds I had shelved since 1.2) and the change from a subscription model. Along with if you are at vr14 you will loose some of the power you have to champ system once this goes live only to be gained back over time.

For the record I am quite serious. I am a die-hard fan of this game and think most if not all of the negativity

I get ya OP - just for the record though: I am not negativ-ing.

I literally was unsure of your intent, there.

I am feeling a range of mildly annoyed to seriously bummed out by certain things about 1.6 AND B2P I cannot be bothered to get into at the moment - but I was not negging your post. :-)

    Carry on (my wayyywarrrd sonnnnn!)....

Im not happy we have been lied to about everything since December:

    Track our exp.
This was in regards to a question about whether or not those who were already v14 would have their experience tracked. Considering that the question was for experience points and not champion points, it doesn't really qualify as a lie. The 70 CP gain we get as v14's is equivalent to about 18 days playing for 4 hours enlightened before the Champion System is even implemented.

Wont ever take away the sub only.
They never said this at all. Not even hinted at it. They did say what the vision and justification was for a subscription service (and it still applies), but never promised that it would stay subscription only.

    Content every 6 weeks.
They said they were pushing toward a 6 week turnaround on content implementation. This wasn't a promise.

1.6 will not make you feel less powerful.
For V14's one week of CP gain will make you more powerful than you are now on 1.5. I've tested this personally. Maybe you should try more builds out.

Tiger mount will only be for the long time subs.
    Where is this cited?

we wont ever put p2w items in the cash shop, comestic only.
Exp boosts aren't p2w. They are convenience items. Just play 10% more and you'll have the same effect. Also, the exp items can be purchased with ingame gold as well, as disclosed on ESO Live and a Road Ahead article.

    1.6 changes you dont like:
weapon swap on a cool down
It should take time to swap your weapons. It's a tactical decision.

    end game armor nerfed
Because of the expanded Gains in the Champion system, of course.

    stats reduced
Which stats? Health is being nerfed yes, but it was at a 1:1 ratio once upon a time compared to stamina and magicka. It's still more than that, but this way people are more inclined to distribute points into stamina and magicka, since the health gain was just too good to pass on.

cp being 400exp on purpose to sell exp boosters.
With enlightenment, that 400k exp is the same as 100k exp. Also, who cares? Just take an extra 6 minutes an hour and you'll have the same effect as an exp boost. It's only a 10% gain, from what I can see.

    light armor made useless
If you are referring to the nerf on spell resist, then maybe. But when's the last time you saw cloth not burn and a pot melt in the same fire?

    sorcs made useless
My sorc can still solo most group delves in 1.6 as it stands now. In fact, even faster.

    crushing shock nerf
They talked about buffing it in 1.6.3

    overall dk nerfs
I think most can agree this was needed.

    ult gain change
Now it's possible for everyone to gain ult doing what they were already doing (weaving) and not just those with high crit.

the buffs system not letting potions stack
    This made sense to me.

    SO being made easier
This was based on community feedback.

    grinding spots nerfed
You mean spots that were being exploited because of some unintended gameplay mechanisms?

    etc etc
    This doesn't make it true.
