I hope people ask for an option in settings so that they can disable being able to see a costume.
Rather than ask for costumes to not work in any specific zone in the game.
If someone talks about "it ruins immersion" as an argument while not asking for an option to disable only them from being able to see costumes, then i hope they have thought about what they are saying.
Objectively they are asking to ruin someone else's immersion so that they can have their immersion.
They are also limiting the games overall immersion with restricting game content based on their feels and imagination.
While a graphic or gameplay click box setting that can disabled all costumes for your viewing pleasure would have you and them satisfied.
Im sure the person wearing the costume does not care 1 bit if you see them in a costume or their gear, but im pretty sure that they would prefer to wear what they want over what you would want them to wear in whatever respective zone you feel doesn't fit your fashion scheme.
Im sure PVPers don't want to have to deal with the fashion police all the time.
Like a DK saying to his Sorc friend:
"ew did you see that dress that NB was wearing? so tacky, he must secretly be a templar in the bedroom"
(that's a joke you narcissistic people)
I do understand why people would be upset if they are fighting along side someone who purchased a costume and spent money real money on the game and was able to wear it in the presence of them, there are actually a few legit reasons.
I won't be-little the reasons by using sarcasm listing them.
I just hope that instead of picking on costumes and what context they are used in, i hope people focus on alternatives that everyone can enjoy, a constructive agreement that both sides can be happy with.
I personally have no problem crossing blades with a man in a dress, or being a shield brother to a blacksmith, costumes or not.
I would also like to be able to hit a settings to be able to see the player without the costume aswell, but not based on their location, be it Cyrodill or craglorn.
