ive been on and off the NA server the last few days and its dead, is anyone playing still? haven't seen a soul in ages

The starter zones are fairly populated still. The veteran zones and Craglorn are pretty much dead.

Craglorn is dead? Belkarth itself is full of people, so at least the zone chat doesn't look deserted.

I'm in Crag every day and it's always the same few players. There are players begging in zone chat for quest partners, grinding partner, etc... and their requests are met with crickets most of the time. When Zenimax dropped the nuclear nerf bomb on the XP, they chased a lot of players out of Craglorn (which I really can't complain about because it benefits me greatly).

A lot of people not logging and just letting their sub expire. In march some old users will play,a lot of new users will play and quickly, all empty again.

Plenty of people are playing. Many people are on the PTS, though, as they test out the upcoming patch.

And OP, the best advice I can give you is to ignore the forums. As you've already seen, people will provide you with misinformation simply to make some roundabout point about buy-to-play ruining the game. Veteran zones are not dead by any means.

Last night he was in Craglorn Grinding and sneaking around getting the last of the Craglorn skyshards.. Where he will be tonight ?? this one does not know but Adventure and monsters await ....LOL

Maybe he will go into Cyrodiil to hunt his enemies..

I've still got some of the Caldwells Gold to complete and some of Craglorn, and the only reason I haven't bothered with it is I could use the XP for when the CP system gets rolled out. It should mean more CP for my VR14 main.

Having said that, if you get stuck and you want a questing buddy, send me a message in game. I'd be happy to help you out.

Plenty of people are still playing, myself included. I think there are 2 essential reasons for what you are seeing.

(1) As someone already pointed out, a lot of the population is busy doing whatever it is they're doing on the PTS.

(2) More importantly since only XP earned after reaching level 50 counts towards CP, and the best XP comes from missions, people are saving their post-50 content for after the update goes live and instead focusing on their characters who are under level 50.

Certainly it seems to me, for the past few weeks, that the low-level zones are heavily populated... and the preferred trading locations also seem to be quite active as well. It's just the places where post-50 content is to be found that are ghost towns right now.

I'm a bit confused myself. PLENTY of ppl everywhere. I hang in Craglorn but when I go to an area to set craft I see lots of players. So yeah, I don't get it.

(I'm on EP though, maybe that's it....all the cool kids are on EP )

Last 2 days level VR4 to VR6 saw 3 or 4 people total until i went to starter cities.

I guess it depends on the zone and what time of day, but I always see players pretty much anywhere I go. Vulkel Guard, Rawl'kha, Elden Root, and parts of Craglorn are always busy. So are some of the PvP campaigns. I always see players in the places where I go to farm stuff. The middle level zones in each faction are not as populated, but I still do see players in them.

Enjoy it while you can... people are on the PTS right now and when this goes B2P the server is going to swarm with people and prob lag things up a bit.

Can't speak for others but two of my friends quit, I can't be arsed to log in and I canceled my sub. I might check it when it goes b2p while I wait for SWTOR to patch.

Intrigued by the upcoming changes to the subscription model, my brother and I actually decided to reactivate our subscriptions rather than wait until March 17.

Granted, two players won't exactly fill up a zone, but I've seen plenty of other players, and it's fun to dust off the old accounts, try to remember how to play after being gone for eight months and see what's new.

So far, plenty of fun to be had.

I play mostly PvP and (on EU) most of the times the zones are locked. If i have to report an attack i always have to report something like "Ash ua 40+ players" and in the same chatscreen i see others reporting attacks with same or higher numbers.

PvE is done after a while. Every current subscriber probably did the content once or twice. You can't do it again unless making another alt. PvP is contant. It never dies. cyrodill is packed with players (at least when i am on)

Actually, I have seen more people in the Vet zones here recently, then ever. Used to be it was a complete ghost zone, everywhere Vet. Now, I see people all the time running around, its quite a nice change really.
