Vampire & Werewolf = A secret life

I might not be the first to raise the topic, but I've always been shocked that people can freely walk the cities as werewolfs or use vampires abilities next to guards.

It's not about being against vampires or werewolfs (actually, I thought about becoming a vamp, and gave up when I saw how lame it is), but it's about bringing flavour to it.
What's the point of being vampire if it's just another set of abilities ?

Vampires or Werewolfs in Elder Scroll have never been considered something normal. It has never been something people would shout out loud in the streets.
Being a vampire should be about a life of deception and secrets, tightly bound to your clan in a way to survive and thrive in your powerful but cursed life...
or cure yourself...

With the justice system coming, I think it's time to think about it again.

As a Vampire / Werewolf
  • You should be KoS by guards as soon as you reveal your true nature in their vicinity. (shape shifting, using Vamp or Wolf abilities)
  • You should be flagged open for PvP for 1 minute everytime you use a Vamp/Wolf ability. This PvP flag would only be valid outside your group so your group and raid mates don't kill you accidentally. But if someone leaves the group, he is free to attack.
  • Vampire/Werewolf killers would gain titles and why not special skills to become more efficient at what they do. (it's the purpose of the fighter's guild skills)
  • You should have to feed on humans (NPC or PvP players) on a regular basis to keep your vampire / wolf abilities at the top.
  • Why not making vamps and wolfs abilities +50% at night and -50% during day ? You would fear crossing vampires on the cyrodill's field at night, while maybe have some better counter during day ?
  • The clan has always been something important in the vampire and werewolf mythology. Wouldn't it be cool that vampire guild leaders would have a special skill line to buff (slightly) his fellow vampires guild members?

Again, it's all about making it more of a choice of life (like becoming an outlaw) and bring more flavour to the world.
Right now, becoming a vampire is mostly about buffing yourself to counter the Fire vulnerability and enjoy all the benefits.
This is not being a vampire, it's just an additional school of magic, and I think it deserves more than that.
