Oops! Two of the same NPC's

Angier Stower is the banker for Daggerfall, AND she is also the banker for Cold Harbour! AMAZING! How can one person be in two places at the SAME time?! Even a twin has a different name. Come on Zeni, Dragon-Breaks can't explain this one away.

I assume it's because they think their players are too stupid to realize what they've done. If called out on this They would just say their relation ie twins or possibly cousins that look alike with the same name.

Iirc there are multiple people from the different alliances in cold harbor as part of the whole "everybody contributing against the common threat" theme.

First off, this isn't part of the "fight to save the world", this is a banker. Secondly, if you want to say "Like I Really Care", then don't post! This is a discussion regarding a doppleganger in the game, and I feel it IS important to ask WHY. So quit hatin', and start reporting stupid little things like this. How hard is it to change an NPC's name?!

Slow your roll, Iirc = "if I recall correctly", thank my phone for the auto-capitalization of the beginning of a sentence.

And I find it perfectly acceptable for NPCs to join the cause and bring their trade and expertise to cold harbor. You're free to dislike it, but this isn't the first time it's been brought up (and iirc it was actually answered by ZOS that NPCs joining the cause was the case).

You WILL find in ColdHarbour several instances of duplicate NPCs standing in the exact same location, only with their animation sequences slightly out of sync. In fact, in one room alone there are three such NPCs, all drinking, their mugs of ale going up to the ir mouths simultaneous with their second head turning or nodding and their arms moving in other ways, making it appear as if they have four arms and two heads.

It doesn't affect conversations or the quest, but it is distracting. I /bug-ged it, so I imagine it will get fixed sometime two years from now... or not.

It's because of how the game is designed to give time a seemingly linear flow for the sake of the story progression.
Angier is in Coldharbour as part of the storyline consisting of members of all alliances traveling with the guilds to help free Nirn from Molag Bal; she has unique dialogue referencing the importance of safe storage even during terrible times.

Due to limitations on the worldspace, the game cannot/does not remove her from Daggerfall after the trip to Coldharbour is initiated.

Technically it could be said that she is not in both places at the same time though; since my character is never simultaneously in Daggerfall and Coldharbour, it is equally possible that Angier is traveling back and forth between realms to accommodate my needs -- now that's service.

Doppelgangers aren't unheard of in the world of Nirn.

"The old witches who sometimes came in to Daggerfall had sometimes spoke of doppelgangers, spirits that assumed the guise of their victims and portended certain death."

So... one of those NPCs you saw was a Doppelganger. I assume the one in Cold Harbour. If the Doppelganger ever gets to Mundus they will track down their victim and kill them. Let's hope this doesn't happen!
